Some people can't help it. I have tried to get rid of mine but it's semi permanent due to my thyroid disease, severe allergic post nasal drip (failed all pharmacologic interventions) and LPRD.

Hi, often there isn’t hand soap to use at public toilets at rest stops (eg when stopping for a toilet break on a long bus journey). But I take it everywhere I go, so it’s not unique to Southeast Asia. Hope that helps ☺️
Yeah it was so much more hectic than I expected! I think maybe if I’d stayed out of the main town it would have felt calmer. The scenery was beautiful but busier than I expected too.
I stayed at the Sapa Hills Hotel. Really lovely staff and such beautiful views. The only downside was there wasn’t loads of soundproofing so I could hear traffic outside, but I enjoyed my stay there.
Very cool, above the clouds. That's pretty magic. Here in Melbourne, the balloons tend to operate in Autumn when it's really clear and still first thing. All looks a bit different now as opposed to when rat on a stick was the local cuisine circa 2002, and deep fried gecko was an offering (tasted like crackling). These days I can't pass a worm without putting it back in the grass, especially in our Summer. 🤣 Great vlog. 🙏

Hi! So it depends on the airline - getting to SE Asia worked fine but most of the budget airlines around SE Asia have a 7kg weight limit on carry on and my 40L is around 10kg so although it’s the right size, it’s a bit too heavy! I check it in instead and take the 20L as my carry on.
Enjoyed the vid - I watched your vlog after getting tickets again for 2024 at the weekend :-) Totally agree it was very busy this year, busier than we've seen before which isn't great. I hear you said you're not going next year but in future you could try a campervan, that's what we've done for the last 4 times we've been. It's a happy balance - you get a decent bed and a fridge for your drinks!

Usually, yes! I use HappyCow. Or if not, I ask for a veggie meal without egg. For the Laos slow boat, I brought snacks with me onto the boat and in Pakbeng, where we stopped after day 1, it was easy to get a baguette to pick up the next morning which was vegan friendly. Laos felt particularly vegan friendly actually! At least the towns I visited ☺️
