I am an average guy living in the UK and who is now the wrong side of 50. From time to time, I look for a new challenge and this time it is to learn the electric guitar. This RU-vid channel will be used to share my journey with other interested people, offer some incentive for others taking on a challenge and to provide me with a video diary of my progress.
When I was younger, I was often told that I "could try harder, but won't amount to much in life". This discouraged me and I have missed so many opportunities in life. Now that I am older and a little wiser, I know that we can all do things 'if' we put our minds to it, remain dedicated and sometimes, just sometimes, we get a little encouragement from those around us.
When times get difficult, I'll look back here to remind myself that with a little more practice and hard work, I will prevail. I hope that this channel will encourage other people to take up new challenges and to continue to educate and test themselves.
Probably much, much too late now but what a poor explanation video. It didn't say how to drill the motor shaft hole and what size, it didn't show which wires went where (Just a comment "I've connected up the wires" - where from and to? At one point he called the point the point motor, etc,etc. If you are going to publish anything then check there are no mistakes or omissions. Not very helpful for a newbie to the hobby.
I can anybody tell me about ez if i had a train and it was set to address 30 will it work if i put in 3 and 0 on the buttons or do i have to change the address to 1-9
I am afraid that I have not touched my guitar in over a year and I would not know the answer to this question. I would suggest maybe finding a Spark forum on Reddit and someone on there will most likely be able to help you.
I almost trashed this thing until I saw you bend the legs out. Mine arrived in an incredibly battered box with no instructions, so it was all guess work as to what screws went where. And I wound up with 2 screws that are smaller than the rest that have no explanation. Amazing that they don't have printable instructions online like everyone else.
If you'd like some constructive advice, I suggest you start tapping your foot in time with the drum beat and this should help keep you in time and tighten up your playing.
I have same black star and mustang micro but I using now my Pc speakers logitech much better bass and sound..better is only nux mighty 3(pro)or nux mighty space
I bought a grounded power supply, but it didn't help. The ground ends at the voltage regulator and doesn't reach the amp. I used a piece of automotive wire and wrapped it around the ground lug, plugged it in the wall, then connected the other end to the spark amp with an alligator clip. The amp is perfectly silent! No noise!. Even on high gain without any noise gate, no noise.
I ordered my Spark 40 amp back in December 2019 with this carry bag, and finally got it all in one shipment in May 2020, so I hear ya. There was a lot of frustration on the shipping time, esp. when reviewers were getting them to review in no time flat. Most of those lucky buzz-tards didn't even pay for them! That was doubly frustrating to actual customers like me. Oh well, I hardly used it since I got it, but have more reason to use it lately, so starting the learning curve. Guess I'm journalling on your video, ha. Best!
Interestingly, I recently purchased my spark amp with the grounded power supply. I'm running the audio out into my PA, and was experiencing a faint but annoying high pitched noise that could mostly be heard between audio tracks. After messing with it a bit, I found that making up a new power cord and omitting the ground wire caused it to go away.
So I just got the spark all connected and its registering sound but I can't hear any of it. It worked at first playing audio out of the spark but I want the audio to come out of my pc speakers
Why do ppl keep talking about issues relating to using this amp at a gig? It's a practice amp and designed for that purpose, no gigging musician would consider this a gigging amp 🤦♂️
Thanks for the video: it was very useful. As a side note, the stool I received was a massive disappointment. The quality control on these is a joke (hard to assemble, defective components, poorly drilled holes). I do not recommend buying it
I just started a year and a half ago at age 61. I'm not great but I know that I am improving a little at a time and I'm loving learning the guitar. I'm learning for me and nobody else. I may never leave the upstairs bedroom but who cares!!
Hi, I'm watching this after assemblying one earlier today. Good video showing some of the issues during assembly. I got one of these today as a present and to be honest, the assembly should be straight forward but guess what? It's a JOKE. My two cross bars were so badly out of shape, I needed to put them in a vice to pull them out to get them remotely close to lining up with the circular bar. The fact you can bend it shows the light guage pipe is cheap. Also some of the chrome coating came off in the assembly process. The pissy supplied aluminium hex wrench stripped when tightening under load and I lost some skin but luckily I have steel hex wrenchs to continue with. This set up could be a lot easier if they had self tapping screws or bolts. The swivel bass was so tight it had to go in the vice and needed persuasion with a rubber mallot to move into position to attach it. Once I had it assembled it was off balance with one leg not level. After sitting on it for awhile it levelled out. It's solid enough and the final product is pretty good. The assembly though is disappointing and the ease of assembly will vary from stool to stool as quality control at the production line seems inconsistent from seeing reviews. As mentioned it was a present but if I'd known what I know now, I would buy an old bar stool or make my own. I'm thinking of making new legs/frame but I'll leave it as it is for now and see how durable it is. Cheers
