As an amazon associate I earn from qualified purchases through my links on my channel.
I heard from another channel that depending on paint you use for example can spray paint a higher sand grit in needed for paint adhears better? Is this the case?
Do u have to wash by hand? Only reason I ask because I wash big rigs and they are pretty hard to wash by hand. Last question is the soap does it have a degreasing properties and grime removing as well?
One reason people sand w finer grit is bc unless you have a powerful poliser it is harder, and takes much longer, to polish out the 600/800/1000 grit marks!
Have you tried any of the new ceramic coatings after polishing to prevent oxidation? I know the aluminum will still oxidize but wouldn’t the coating extend the time needed in between polishing?
The Makita GA7021 online says it's a 7 inch grinder. Just verifying that's your favorite one you speak of here? And are you using 9 inch wheels on the 7 inch grinder?
Videos like these get you mad respect, which eventually turns into money from views, clicks, likes, subs, members, customers, etc. It builds trust. These videos will only be refreshing until more fake youtubers become more skilled at acting and create a filtered version of these videos. You the man for doing this the right way, Evan. Keep it up!
I was thinking I was doing something wrong with how I keep catching on the holes in the wheel, but I see it really is just something that you can't do much about. Just keep going
Just found ur channel.....👍 Can I apply this video towards cleaning my aluminum rims off my Dually! Other than polishing in the military.....I have never polished a rim in my life.
Hey Evan! You gunna be at the truck show in Eau Claire on Aug 16th & 17th? I’d love to meet ya! Was thinking about entering my truck but I doubt she’ll win any awards. It’s a daily worker, a nice truck but no show truck. I just think it’d be fun. Wife bought us tickets for our anniversary to go check it out.
@@EvanStegerMetalPolishing Every bleepin time. If I didn't clean and polish it, it would be dry for days or even weeks. But let me spend 4 hours of my day cleaning and polishing the wheels and BOOM, here comes the rain, not while it's sitting still mind you, no, while I'm on the road. 🤦♀🤦♀
Great stuff to know, I’m currently in school for aviation, which I’m going to be doing for the next 10-15 years I did do detailing for a long and I have a lot of experience for polishing, sanding etc. But I want a side hobby. I’ve always been business driven. But I’ve been hesitant. But I enjoy getting down and dirty. I want to know what metals you recommend sticking with for beginners, amateur or intermediate levels.
I could get you one made lol we print our own apparel in our shop. If you want anything checkout out goshineon.com website or email melinda@goshineon.com
I was going to use Superior Aluminum Brightener on an old aluminum boat to clean it UP a bit! It's 35 years old and never been cleaned! I don't think a one time cleaning will ruin the boat! What do you think?
Bro, your videos help me A LOT. I’m a porter and my job decided they wanted me to detail trucks too. Your videos have basically taught me everything I do. lol.
