Same problem Superb3 190Le 2016. 420,000 km. Fuel filter, boost valve, air filter, Map sensor, air volume meter replaced. The power goes away on the way up. Particulate filter is fine. It's like a software problem.
Thank you for this video. I have a 2017 Skoda superb and the fault p2099 was showing. Took it to several garages and they didn’t have a clue. In the end I took the manifold off myself and it was probably 20 times worse with carbon deposits. A couple of cm thick in parts. I have clean it and no more carbon. Just going to put back together today/tomorrow and will update. Thank you for sharing.
The manual says to tighten them off the ground and once torqued to slack it off 60° then retorque it. Should always use a centre guide aswell to prevent any accidental brake disc damage
Hi, i have the same problem on My octavia III 2.0 tdi 135 kw eu6 , same engine (cuna code) on octavia VRS diesel without adblue p029900, its hapening in same moment when I fast acelerating on connecting to auto ban on i think 2300rpm 5 gear115 km/h(67mph) or in uphil, and on reading of faults its declarating underboost (only 45 %of necesary boost) i dont remember hov much it is, mechanics say that need a New turbo, but i dont think becouse car runing wery well until 115 kmh, and milage is 180000miles, manufacture year 2017, i doing a software deleting egr but now same driving problem but dont making faults, i think to start with cleaning intake and front egr (high pressure) cleaning or blanking if it is possible, for begin. Opinion pls. 😮
Would you believe my 2016 vrs hit 180k miles last week and exactly the same thing happened to me!!! Car driving fine then as soon as I join motorway and put foot down boom coil light and limp mode, underboost code, drives fine at half boost but if I put foot down it goes straight to limp. I will have to have mechanic look at intake manifold because I don't think it's turbo either 🤔 did you get your vrs fixed??
Great vid, thank you! Having performance issues on my 16 plate superb at the moment and after taking the EGR valve off ive been thinking the same as you about the rattle with it. You've saved me a few quid needlessly replacing that now! I've removed the lambda and squirted a can of dpf cleaner in and it seems to be running better, fingers crossed but if it goes again ill get straight onto the inlet manifold. Cheers.
I've been having this exact issue with my smart fortwo sometimes will start sometimes won't so very intermittent, getting the starter motor replaced anyway as had other parts checked seems like this could be the culprit.
