Who are you Dale ? Do you even karate ? Or do you just hold a black belt in trolling and giving your opinion on martial arts forms that you don’t actually know anything about ?
@@daleicenogle3711 “former instructor and tournament fighter” . Obviously non contact karate that knows absolutely nothing about full contact karate . You can’t demote anybody because of your lack of knowledge and understanding of full contact fighting.
It shouldn't be necessary to touch gloves this isn't boxing they bowed already so respect has already been shown. Not touching gloves shouldn't affect the result as the fighters should be giving their all in any case.
Though nowadays with the UFC everyone knows what a glove touch is, it is quite unusual to see in Kyokushin. Every fight begins with the bowing sequence, which achieves the same goal as the glove touch. I have seen a Kyokushin fighter look pretty confused in a local tournament when his opponent wanted to bump fists after the fight had started.
How do they let young people bash each other like that with no protection and for free? That's why I think Kyokushin is so unsuitable for young martial artists.
@Francisco , these two fighters are light weight fighters and both in their mid 20’s . It’s very normal to compete in Full Contact Kyokushinkai Competition without protection and over 18 years old .. as both these fighters were at the time .
