Might have been the beginning of a tubular bannerstone, my buddy found one last year made from steatite(soapstone), I also found a broke one made from steatite but idk, I’m definitely no expert lol but if I had to guess probably some sort of bannerstone, nice find, GL&HH!!👊🏹
That's an exciting fine !!! I'd be thrilled about that. I just found what I think is an Indian Paint Pot in a well known stream bed where Indians dwelled nearby. Nice size too. I'm always looking for anything odd. Happy hunting!!!
We believe it’s likely a kind of knife. The wee little broke base in the corner of the blade resembles a corner tang knife but I don’t think they’re known to be this far east? Not sure but definitely a knife!

Thanks! I agree that flaking pattern seems to be indicative of a much older point, many paleo points I see have it. Bummer the base was missing! Maybe I’ll find the rest one day ☝🏼

My last video, I’m hunting a field in WV with the Return of the collector. I was not expecting to go. He calls me says let’s go. I did not eat anything or really drink anything, within an hour and a half. I was about to black out. I had to stop and sit down. I usually hunt creeks where the heat is not a factor.
@@thequestforartifacts I do a ton of creek walking also I actually prefer it immensely butt up here in northeast Ohio we just don’t have the amount of artifacts in the creeks as we do in the fields
Definitely a heartbreaker kind of day! That first one looked like it could have been whole before you pulled it. Unfortunately brokes are more common than whole points. Good luck on your next hunt!
Thanks Reapers! It’s been slow going lately with the 95° heat but some of the farmers just cut the wheat and plan on ripping the ground up so maybe some more goodies soon after we get a good rain 🤘🏼

One of my favorites! Went on a morning Turkey hunt, shot my gobbler at first light and said what the hell, I’ll walk up this stream. Wasn’t in the water for more than 2 minutes and there she lay! I gifted it to the land owner for his wedding 8 months later. Had it put in a frame with a small placard 👍🏼
A Branchler😀 I’ve never heard that but I have indeed found branchlers, still looking for my first shed after decades of looking and not for lack of looking, I’ve found quite a few deadheads but no sheds YET, that’s a Nice Un Bud, Congratulations 👊🏹
