Hi, I'm Justin Elliot Daniels, and I mainly make random family-friendly entertainment vlogs and videos. Please consider subscribing so you don't miss my new monthly videos.
I may never be successful on RU-vid, but I (the ORIGINAL Justin Daniels) will NOT give up until I have given it my VERY BEST effort (which I have not done)!
To people who hates AI music just because "it is disrespectful or is a threat to an actual music producer": It isn't, AI generated music has a totally different style and will never truly replace real producers. AI actually can motivate you to actually learn how to become a real music producer so you can totally express your dream song. And yet, it can also open new business possibilities like opening a service to remake such AI-generated style song to a real one.
I find this to be a great tool to come out of the "artist's block". I used to make songs by request a while ago (like, people would send me their lyrics and I'd turn them into vocal melodies/harmonies). Sometimes it could be hard to come up with a good catchy chorus, so I had to turn to some of my favourite songs for inspiration but it also felt kinda derivative. With this though, you can try and go through an infinite number of variations with the same lyrics, untill something "clicks" and you're like "Ha! This is the vocal run I've been missing!" - then tweak it to match your song and record it.
That's what I'm planning on doing when I have the money... Take my favorite AI generated songs to a production studio and have them help me record them as a real song, since I do want to make "real" music.
Please read this before leaving a hate comment. I believe that AI music should NEVER replace real human-made music. However, I believe that AI can be used as a gateway for people like me who don't know music production to get into music. I plan to make "real" music at some point when I have the money to go to a production studio. Please don't hate me for finding a hobby that helps me endure my stressful life... I really don't want to have to disable comments. It's not like I'm making money off of this or am trying to replace anyone. I am merely doing it as someone with a passion for music, yet no musical knowledge, and as a tech enthusiast who is interested in the latest gadgets and cool technological advancements. Just for the record, I do not believe that AI music artists should get the same level of credit as traditional music artists, but they are still, in my opinion, "real" music artists because the AI isn't going to give itself prompts, write lyrics of its own accord, or select the best sounding options. If people want to say that AI music isn't real music, they could also argue that music isn't "real" music if it uses synthesized instruments, or even that someone isn't a real singer if they use autotune. All of the above are just examples of using the tools available to produce within one's means.
Don't pay attention to the hate. AI is just another tool. Creating your own original music will always be better, and result in more original and elaborated songs, that can better express your feelings/ideas/stories. There's still many many things that you can't control with AI generation, and can only be done with traditional recording. But AI is a good tool for people who don't know how (or can't afford) to make it the traditional way. And it's also a nice help for brainstorming, finding inspiration, or creating a demo to use as a starting point to develop a better song. In the end, AI or no AI, your own creativity will always be a defining factor. And the more knowledge, talent and creativity you have, the better your songs will be.
@@JustinDaniels For the record: I have created and recorded music the traditional way, with a band. We published about 16 songs on Spotify and RU-vid. And I am now experimenting with AI music generation. So don't mind the haters. If you want to express yourself, do so by using the tools available to you. Some people will like it, some will not. Let your songs come out of your head, into existence. It doesn't matter if you get one listener or millions. At least you tried to create something.
thank you. And I do aspire to make "real" music someday. I just can't afford it at this time, and my singing voice is terrible. So, with AI, I can express myself somehow at least.
I do write my own lyrics for some songs, like in a rock album I have coming out. I guess I should have put "artist" in quotes but I just thought it would be a good title. I don't know why I'm getting so much hate. I've been struggling with mental issues and not wanting to be here, and finally found a way to express myself using AI music since I don't yet know how to produce my own. This has really helped me mentally, yet people just hate me for it. I really feel like a useless pos and no matter what I do, I have no purpose because everything I do is just hated. I speent 12 hours working on editing this video and all I get is haters.
I don't use Suno AI to generate the lyrics. Most of the time, I either write the lyrics myself or I write a rough draft of the lyrics, have ChatGPT rewrite it to make it rhyme, then rewrite it myself to make it less awkward. Occasionally, I'll have ChatGPT just generate me the lyrics based on a prompt like I did here for demonstration; but, I usually will still rewrite the lyrics myself. But if Suno messes up and doesn't use the lyrics I put in, I just have to regenerate that segment or song.
please do not do this or continue this. you're spitting in the face of real musicians who take time to learn to make music/play instruments... please. make it stop.
I hear what you're saying, but I respectfully disagree. If you watched the whole video, I mentioned that I do plan to make music in the traditional sense at some point in the future. But you're saying that I shouldn't use the tools available to me to help me express myself? AI music should NEVER replace real musicians. It should be used as a tool to enable people who otherwise couldn't express themselves through music yet have the desire to, to be able to. That is why I fully disclose that my current music is generated with AI.
If writing lyrics isn't actual art, I don't know what is. That song in the video was completely AI because I was demonstrating it. But about half of my songs are completely my unmodified lyrics, 25% are my lyrics modified with using ChatGPT to make it rhyme, and 25% are just AI generated for fun. And yes, I plan on becoming a "real" music artist when I can afford to hire a producer and stuff. This is just a stop-gap measure so that I have a way of expressing myself in the meantime.
@@JustinDaniels I appreciate your response, it's very good to know! Keep going, I'm sure you can get really good! I did not want to watch the video to avoid giving you ad revenue, but now I will.
@@Justaguy-d3eWr I've literally been a fan of the Tekkit Realm and watched most of his videos whenever they came out for the last 3 years. I have absolutely no clue what you're talking about. But what does this have to do in any way with this video of me buying a car?
I plan to make more videos at some point. There's just too much stressful stuff going on in my personal life right now, but I'm not quitting RU-vid, don't worry.
