Kai and Mary (as well as their Navis) are really interesting characters and I wish they appeared in later games (I'd take them over Yai and useless Glyde).
Oh my god, I just thought of a perfect scenario that could be fixed by tying it into the Dark Chips: *Dex and GutsMan* Yeah, Dex is Lan's best friend and they've always got each others' backs... but Lan and MegaMan still wipe the floor with him and GutsMan every time they battle. No matter how good your friendship is with someone, constantly losing to them is going to eventually start causing feelings of bitterness. So what if, instead of having Chisao set up this absurdly elaborate ruse, we have Dex's scenario focus on him finally getting fed up with losing to Lan? He's tired of losing, tired of Lan being the only one to ever get recognition for his skills... and oh look, now there's these special chips that are giving Navis _massive_ power boosts, and they're so _easy_ to get a hold of... so why not pick up a few to skew things in GutsMan's favor? He practices with them and it starts making him get cocky, or making GutsMan act a lot more aggressive, and the scenario would revolve around getting Dex to realize that the Dark Chips aren't going to fix anything.
Why not move to 3 then? Everyone knows it sucks and RPGmonger already did a good review of it but what I enjoyed the most out of your SF1 review was the commentary on the plot and characters so I have no issue with you just moving to the next game
I think this game does not deserve harsh criticism, I think context is important, to me this game is special, when I was a kid there was not easy acesss to the internet ever, the only way to see dragon ball was hoping it would be on after school and for most of my childhood it just played the buy saga on repeat, owning this game allowed me to be in the subs universe to use my imagination and see the story and characters, the music was also great, I get it’s not a perfect techincal game, but I imagine that they didn’t have the most money to make this game and I’m thankful it was made, we’re spoiled now and kids can have instant access to any media but as a child in the early 2000s this game let me escape reality for a little and feel closer to my favorite characters
Before this my only exposure to servbots was MvsC2, where they are, unsurprisingly, not given much characterization. I'm now convinced these are where minions came from. I vastly prefer these little guys.

I actually started playing Legacy of Goku 2 a couple days ago, and I don’t know if it’s the Emulator making it look better. But the beginning video looks… scarcely good besides one or two scenes. I wanna keep playing it just to see how it fairs, but just from the hour I played, the quality is already a step up from the first game. Kinda remarkable in that sense.

I got to mention that your level difference does matter in the freeza fight. And it's a good bit. I started one spot and literally punched freezer for over 30 minutes on level one. Where is with normal to Max level it was very quick like he said.
from what I've seen in the comments, you should give starforce 2 the same treatment zero 2 got by its 3rd game. It would be incredibly hilarious if you didn't even say anything, but it might be better to do a short summary of sf2 instead of a scrolling block of text like in z3 as a cameo to that game. I definitey think you should make a short summary of sf2 to put in one of your videos as a short scroll-by that you maybe read, before getting into the actual video, or maybe have the summary be a patreon exclusive (unless you don't feel like shitposting on patreon, which is understandable.)
There are patch cards in the Legacy Collection that can change Mega Man's color. You can access them from the "MegaMan" menu on the pause screen. I believe the white color is only in Battle Network 4.
Your attack power is invisible and you do get stronger as you train and level up, but it's hard to tell because of the hit box system. There's an audio cue signifying if you landed a real hit or not. This applies for all attacks. Weak sounds indicate blocked damage, strong sounds indicates inflicted damage. The problem is that there's a cool down time that last for about 3 seconds before you or the CPU can land inflicted damage again. This is why the solar flare comes in handy because it helps you avoid the enemy as you wait for your cool down to wear off. Unfortunately there's no in game tutorial that explains the combat system at all.
I forced myself to like this game as a kid. It wasn't bad, it was my fault I died to every enemy and couldn't progress. The sequel came out and I never, ever went back to it.

Battle Network is just the Internet of Things gone malevolent. They COULD send it wirelessly, like the fridge telling you to get [Name Redacted] Brand Milk or your Ring Doorbell sending you an 'Unknown Person' Message because a person wore a shirt with something vaguely like a face. But they won't. They're bored and need you for stimuli. The things are all just self aware enough to be petty. Why else would you hide a probably sentient lifeform in something called a PET... society has failed and Duo was right. Or something.
Also, keep in mind for those of us who grew up in the OG years. You had to WAIT for the bars and resources to refill. On a device powered by AA batteries. And I believe this was before the SP came out where you could play plugged in. This game was hard and a life stealer.
Hope that doesn't mean you're shelving SF3 as well, because honestly THAT would be way more disappointing. I know you aren't a fan of its gameplay, but 3 is basically like a better version of what was in the first game's DX mod you streamed.
