This is REALLY well made. The cover of the main theme is great, the crash is fucking hilarious actually. I feel like im on drugs. Where is hunter. Where is dad. Dad, where are you? Dad? Dad? dad? Dad?
this video is honestly brilliant, an abstract masterpiece The first quarter keeps you on edge, with the static and strange occurances. It practically screams "SOMETHING SCARY IS GOING TO HAPPEN" The second quarter cools down for a bit with a semi-relaxing bus ride, only for all hell to break loose as the hippo throws the bus off a mountain and into a busy highway (or something like that) Then, the third quarter. Pure, abstract insanity. Everything just falls apart. Glitchy visuals, darker music, out-of-bounds footage, and most notably: a strange, distorted model of Sonic. It makes the viewer think "Oh god, here we go. Here comes the twist." You're slowly lead towards the door with a path of flames. Here it comes... The fourth and final quarter. The music comes to a halt, building suspense. And... Instead of abruptly slamming open like I expected, the door instead gently and slowly swings open, revealing... Sonic on a performance stage. The music kicks in. He holds up a microphone and points at the Elephant character we've been following, firmly stating: ✨"I'm Sonic! You're going to play in my Schoolhouse!"✨ What follows is the most cathartic tone-shift I've ever experienced. The music ascends, thanks to DJ Eggman. Sonic pops off, spitting the straightest facts imaginable. The audience is absolutely loving it. That Elephant is clearly in shock and awe at Sonic's impossibly high swag. In that moment, suddenly everything finally made sense. I just... GOT it. I understood EVERYTHING, and I was loving every second of it. To me, it always feels really special when a strange, abstract, hard-to-understand hellscape suddenly just makes perfect sense. The music slowing down in the intro. Sonic suddenly disappearing for a while. The weird static cuts. The intense bus crash. The old video filter disappearing at the start of the 3rd quarter. All that abstract madness. That weird creepy distorted Sonic thing. All of this? It makes SENSE now. It's all perfectly explainable. *It was all a stunt to promote the live debut of Sonic's rapping career.* Thank you, Sonic the Schoolhouse Engine. May your career be fruitful and glorious.
