This is about the new videos put up on 8 27 2023 since comments needed to be off for the new ones. So good to see you again. It's been like a drought. Best of luck and health to all of you, and love to Steve always.
What a shock...looked up from my book just in time to realize that I know those girls! Emily, Lauren, and Elizabeth...I can't believe your mom never bragged about this!
Coming back to this after having not watched in quite some time, and got verklempt when I saw Steve. My god those were glorious times. So much joy on that stage.
I cant put this song on my everyday playlist because I have to stop and reflect every time I hear it. But I cant not include it because it means so much
Haunting ... just last night on the stage underneath "The Original" headframe, the main stage at An Ri Ra, Montana's Irish Festival, The Elders, on their farewell tour, sang "The Miners," written about the Granite Mountain/Speculator mine fire in Butte which took 168 lives on June 8, 1917 - the greatest hard rock mining disaster in history ... performed in the shadow of the Granite Mountain memorial, this was as always a haunting and unforgettable moment ... experience the song here with lyrics and historical photos ...
Damn Colin (the fiddle player) can play. The Elders had a concert in downtown Lee's Summit, MO me and my dad got to drink beer and talk with Colin at a bar. Super cool and nice guy.
The Elders have a concert every year in Lee's Summit, Missouri. 2 years ago I was at that concert and I talked to Colin Farrell before they played. He was the nicest guy and he told me we would have a beer after the concert. thought he was just being nice. after the concert had a few beers and some shots with him after they played. one of the nicest guys I have ever met.
