Pleasant Valley isn't racist, but I am ! Every year the damn ghetto gets bigger with folks from Poughkeepsie leaving due to illegals invading their shit hole so they come here. This place has changed so damn much in the past 5 years .The motel is largely to blame . A once nice little community has turned into a shit hole. people selling their homes to whoever ,not caring about the community they are leaving behind. If there are any Christian Conservatives looking for a place to call home.. Pleasant Valley is not the place. God Bless to all have read this and take my advice .

Pleasant Valley has a population of 9,600+ people. I lived there for many years. I always felt like I knew everyone. The same wonderful group of people volunteered at the schools, supported the library, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts. This small group of racist yahoos in no way represent Pleasant Valley. They are a shameful representation of the ignorance and racism in our country. Saying Black Lives Matter doesn’t mean Blue lives don’t matter. One yahoo even yelled at the police for not blocking the protest. It didn’t matter to them that they were making it hard on the police. Officer Gasparre looks very uncomfortable. For future protests, the police need to be better prepared and more of them. I was disappointed the ATV police rode past the assholes trying to block the march without making them move. And you have to love the fat yahoos (especially the shirtless fool) and toothless bearded dude representing why tRump was voted out of office. And to the fellow who said they should just sit down and have a discussion: How many discussions ....that get nowhere...do you want them to have? There should have been arrests. It is in the video...the pushing of peaceful protestors. Our police need to do a better job of protecting them.
Not everyone in this video identifies as a woman. While the filmmaker might not be aware of that I think its very important to not erase non binary and/or trans people from the equation of catcalling. Please consider this change, Chase. Thx.
Thank you for pointing this out, QAF Productions! This video was made several years ago, and since then at least one of the people in it has come out as not identifying as a woman. While I know every person who took part was willing to be involved in the way it was presented, I was not aware enough or educated enough at the time to have asked how people identify or include other gender identities in the description. This would have been handled differently today. I will see if I am able to edit the description and/or title of the video, but I’m unable to go back and edit the in-video captions at this point. I am also open to taking the video down completely at any time if any person in it is uncomfortable or feels misrepresented. I will personally reach out to everyone in the video and ask how they are feeling. I would also like to add that since this video was made, the Women’s Bike Messenger Association changed its name to the *BMA (read StarBMA) to include non-binary, trans, and intersex messengers. Thank you again for bringing light to this blind spot and I will keep you posted on what happens.
I have done it. It is very exciting at first. I know people that have been doing it for years. But for me personally, the stress was too much. My boss was horrible, and at some point I decided I hated risking my life for people siting in an office. Because I was about to get killed every day. It felt cool the first semester, and I loved the adrenaline, but then it wore off. Try it though, it is worth it! Good luck
