MILLIE is about community. All of our resources are built by and for the military community, harnessing the power and expertise of those who have lived the military lifestyle. At MILLIE we connect families with specialized knowledge and trusted resource providers to alleviate the stress of frequent moves. MILLIE’s resources-our Scouts (military spouses who stand ready at military installations worldwide to assist other military families on the move), our installation guides, and our nationwide network of veteran and military spouse real estate agents-are all designed to make moving easier for military families.

After MacArthur Middle school. I attended Wild Lake High school. This was my last school that I went to. I started going there in August 2011. I was in that school for 6 years. In High school I read books such as Hamlet and Persepolis and Maus. I also would do Work study in my high school where I cleaned toys at a church and plant thing at the Greenhouse and I Would cleaned off menus for on the border and I also served lunch to Seniors and sorted out books in the Library. I also would take cooking class and had cafes for teachers in my school some months. I also had invited Miss Miller to my cooking class cafe once in October 2014 because she forgot her lunch that day and when my cooking class had a cafe that day I would often invite teachers that I wanted to invite. One time I had to introduce myself and my friends to Miss Millers kids Aveva and Aida when she took them to the school with her one day. I also had a fun day when PSAT testing happening that day when in 9th grade and I danced to music which was hard for me since I was in a back brace at the time. I also had a lunch group at school too. I also would watch movies at the end of the day in class too. One time I took down a sign that said leave me alone that someone left on the bathroom mirror. I would sometimes sent students and Staff to the basement as a freshman as a prank at first. I also saw the 4th floor of my school one time and it was dark up there unlike the other 3 floors and the basement of my High school. One day when I was riding the bus from school the bus driver was playing music with the N word in it and he asked if this was okay and I was like and said absolutely not.

After Nimitz. I went to school at MacArthur Middle school. I was there for the 2009-2010 and 2010-2011 school years. This was also my last school that I attended on Base. I would have lunch group every Tuesday at school with special needs girls and I did game club in 8th grade with special needs kids in my school. I also went to the Scince Museum in 7th grade and Gettysburg in 8th grade. I also read rikki tikki tavi and baseball saved us and al capone does my shirts in 7th grade. One time in 7th grade when I was in girls bathroom I found the boys room bathroom pass that belong to Miss Bingham my music teacher at the time who has since passed away and got it returned to her. I also remember this shocked face that my FACS teacher ms Taylor had when I told her that girls were messing with me in the bathroom. who has since passed away as well made when I told her girls were messing with me in the bathroom.I also found out she was one of the few woman to serve in World War 2.I also did turtle club and watched magic school bus in my science classroom in 7th grade.I did game club in 8th grade with special needs kids in my school. I also went to the Scince Museum in 7th grade and Gettysburg in 8th grade. One time in 7th grade the fire alarm went off while I was in the bathroom and I had to do the fire drill with Mr Wheeler my science teacher at the time and My sub for my aid was worried sick for me. One time in Miss Fishback for my homeroom classroom in 7th grade there was no teacher and I had to ask ms Jones for help because it was chaos and she called for a sub right away. I also did fun things too when I got enough eagle tickets such as game day and an auction and Carnival on June 14th 2010 the second to last day of 7th grade. One in the gym I had noticed a boy vandalized a locker in the locker room and I reported it to the gym teacher and I also learn about Gym equipment too. I also notice one time someone vandalize a science textbook and I show Mr wheeler the vandalism and he said oh that is just rude. What was also nice in the Computer lab teacher could sent warnings on the computer through messages so the whole class did not have hear the teacher yelling at one student. I also did a turtle club in school in this club we rasied two turtles through out the year and took them to the bay at the end of the year at the same time we watch the guppies and the snails in the tank at that time for the co teacher for Miss Littlejohn although all his fish have probably died a long time ago by now and I had inform him that his one of fish died. Mr wheeler also lost two of his goldfish during the club and gave 2 away later through the year.He had 5 fish to start out with at start of the school year at that time. Although they have all have died now I am sure. I also used to not like spicy foods until I ate spicy chicken at school at first i did not like it but i did like eventually although this took time. This is also where I got Monkey pox since two other kids at my school had it although that time My Pediatric doctor did not know this was Monkey pox with the Bumps on my chest that I had at that time. I also went upstairs at the gym one time after a boy told me to go up there after he told me a ball was stuck up there which was a trick.

After Colorado In January 2006 I started Nimitz elementary school in Hawaii .It was very hard at first leaving Dakota Valley Elementary behind for me. I was in 3rd grade when the moved from Colorado to Hawaii happened for me. I remember singing the Hawaiian songs and talking about the islands in class. I also remember Fun Friday and End of month celebrations. I also remember watching Anne in the my classroom and I remember playing Triazzle and did an animal project for the science fair which i still have. I also went to the Plantation village and Ice palace where i tried ice skating for the first time. Then in my 4th grade year. I remember going to the Loi where I got a hula drum which i still have. I also did Freedom walk the first time for the 5th anniversary on 9/11. I also went to the iolani palace I also did bike education in February 2007 i used to be very afraid of riding bikes before this and After this progam my parents bought me my own bike after my Dad came home Iraq . My school also had craft fair where i got some ornaments from there which i still have today. One time a boy name Trevor broke one of my classroom balls at recess. I also would sometimes help the staff serve meals in the cafeteria on service day back in the day. For the 5th grade I remember Starbase. I also did creature feature movie night at school one night. I watched watch Monster House.I also did the Fall festival the first time that year and I had outback for dinner and played games and did bouncy houses. I also sang its a marshmallow world for my Christmas program that year. For the 6th grade. I remember the camping trip and the Fall Festival again and did Jumba juice and I also sangs its a soliders slient night for my Christmas program. I also remember dancing in an Indian celebration at my school on October 24th 2008. I also saw a lion dance in my school in February 2008 and 2009.I also remember service day in the school Office and Library that year. I also remeber my 6th grade end of year celebration and gradution with the oceans 808 and singing god bless the usa and youll be in my heart and circle of friends. I also helped with the Library one day before Spring Break in April 2009 and the Office too one day on service day. One day my teacher even invited us to his church service one weekend when I was off of school and my dad off of work.

I attended many different schools over the years when my Dad was active duty. My first school was I had Mission Vallejo which was preschool. That is where I started school. The bathroom had foot markers green for the girls and white with spots for the boys at the time. I also would roll around in this round toy I cant exactly describe it. I also had difficultly with my work there too some time like writing an r and I took too long on a task one day that I missed show and tell because of that. Then after that I moved to Dakota Valley there I can remember Miss Peggy my preschool teacher there being out one day because her husband died.I also remember having conferences in school in Kindergarten. I also made a clay turtle in 1st grade and clay frog in 2nd grade in art class and I also heard god bless america and god bless the usa and the military themes song in music class. One time in 2nd grade a girl named Asia asked me to skip class with her to go miss Chapman room and I did get in trouble for that. I also went the Science museum with my school in 2nd grade as well as the Denver Zoo. Also one time A girl named Ashley had a heart attack I was so young when it happened.I also saw Monster Inc at school too one day in 2nd grade. I also would read Henry and Mudge when I was in 1st grade and froggy books when I was 2nd grade and reading Lyle Lyle the Crocodile books when I was in 3rd grade in Colorado a few months before I moved to Hickam in Hawaii and some months before my next school in Hawaii. I also would play Keybo and Starfall on the computer back in the day as well as original Kid Pix. I also would look at books in the library and sit on a purple couch which the school no longer has. I also would have lunch group with other special needs girls every Thursday at school. However When I first started doing this Ms pat or Ms donna who would accompany me to lunch first worried where I was since I was not eating in the cafeteria in school on Thursdays. I also would also read books in my chapmans rooms in an area with bean bags for us students to sit on. I also had sensory breaks at school and I also would have gluten free treats at school whenever there was a birthday celebration or other celebration. I also went to a friends birthday party from school at an arcade once. I also would have Friday afternoon club with the class on Fridays just before the weekend. We also had two playgrounds. One time on one playground the slide got closed down after some one was hurt. One time I tried walking away a certain direction from the school and everyone shouted my name for doing that. I also was on the wall one time at recess for 10 minutes. I also given my own special whistle from one of the staff members and I tried telling my parents but they were not happy with me blowing a whistle at school I even have a picture of me with it. I also would ride scooter boards when I was doing Occupational Therapy with Ms Michelle I also have a picture with me in it. One time I had stay inside at school for recess because it was 107 outside. One time I was coming from school in shorts because my mother it was going to be 70s but it ended up snowing instead. One time I came to school in my Witches costume for Halloween 2005 just before I left Hawaii and I had very little time left with that school. I actually have a picture of me in this costume with ms Anderson in the photo with me she was my special Person in Colorado before I had my dog Henry. One time in 3rd a boy named Edward was talking about something gross in the school Library. We also had Hawaiian theme party for me when we had my goodbye party for that school and i got ty Beanie baby fish which I still have and shower curtain and Hawaii themed trash can which i still have.

Ft huachuca.. 1199'th signal battalion. 1990 to 1992. Once called sia or cea battallion. Was directly under congress before pulled into a group. One mission was to support the communication of anyone running for president. Most "work" was installation of communication for the army, most of the time everyone would be on TDY. I won soldier of the quarter so i volunteered for Honor Guard. My Sgt. Wanted to do a strictly Buffalo Soldier honor guard group but the command would not allow it. He wanted a squad with nothing but African American soldiers for Honor burials with original uniforms etc of the Buffalo Soldier. The army would not allow it.

That is definitely a concern for larger families! We've heard of folks getting creative with their lodging options, but you have to do some research on what you're allowed. Sometimes you can get approval for short term rentals, but that is an exemption to the rule. We've also heard of families renting RVs for travel/temp lodging options, but that's going to be just as tight for your fam! I would recommend posing the question in our Facebook group, Moving the MILLIE Way to crowdsource options and to see what others have experienced. It's definitely a pain point.
