At 1:03:00 i cannot read the info on the screen very well. Where can I find this? I have many espar technical manuals but I have not found this page for connecting 2 heaters to 1 easystart pro.
Will it hurt anything to leave the high altitude mode on when not at high altitude? If it just reduces fuel then the heating capacity would be reduced, but if it overspeeds the fan, then shorter fan life would be expected, Can you tell me which it does in the high altitude mode?
If you are using a Hydronic S3 CS 12 V with EasyStart Pro, the high altitude mode should be manually turned ON for continuous use in altitudes between 1,500 meters (5,000 ft) and 3,000 meters (10,000 ft) and it should be manually turned OFF for continuous use in altitudes below 1,500 meters (5,000 ft). Using the high altitude mode decreases the amount of fuel delivered, so if incorrectly used continuously in lower altitudes it can increase the risk of flame loss when combined with other factors.
I have an Airtronic M2 D4L with an Easy Start PRO. Can I control the heat using the yellow wire from the harness and also keep the controller connected? I'm able to get heat when providing 12v+ to the yellow wire, but get an error on the controller screen. H1Restricted- P000130
The EasyStart Pro is a CAN-based only controller, so it uses only the blue-red and blue-black wires to communicate with the heater for all functionalities (e.g., to start and stop it, change temperature setpoint, …). Unless you have another analog controller in the circuit (which is providing its own temperature setpoint), I’d advise you not to turn your heater using the yellow wire, but instead control all heater functionalities directly at your EasyStart Pro. If using only the EasyStart Pro (and not the yellow wire) you keep seeing that code P000130, please contact our Technical Support Team at +1 800 387 4800 or email to ca-to-techservices@eberspaecher.com for additional help.

Your website has said availability in early 2024 for nearly a year. Can you provide which month they will be available for after-market purchase? And, will there be limited availability for some time after they hit the market? Thanks!
It's looking like it'll be available more like early 2025. I'll make a note to message you again once they've started to be shipped to our dealers. We apologize for the delay and any inconvenience this has caused.
@@EberspaecherNorthAmerica Thank you for your honesty. I hope you’re ready for volume shipments in early 2025 or you will be at least one year behind the companies early to market - nay, not early as in innovators - but they at least have products in the market.
Awesome video. I thought it was my relay and when I disconnected it I shorted out the fuse. Do you know where it’s at. If I key my ignition it will turn on my controller and allow me to the. On heater but that’s only with the key turned on ACC

I'm having trouble with a AS3-B2L. I have tried to address any metering pump issues nothing done has made improvements. It makes a weird loping sound and flame goes out at times and relights all before reaching set temperature. I have a video of all this I could send to someone.

No, you don't always have to get new parts. If you use a larger lag screw you can pull the atomizer screen out without damaging it and reuse it if you clean it off. I suggest brake cleaner and a good jet nozzle on your air compressor to blow it clean. If your glow plug still works (you can just check it with 12 volts) you won't need to always order new parts. The same goes with the larger screen at the rear of the larger heat chamber. Keep it clean and your heater will serve you fine.
The proper service recommendations are the ones given in this video and trying to clean the atomizer screen will not work every time and is not advised. The glow pin does not require to be replaced, unless you break the ceramic element or the wires during removal or reinsertion. The one part you require to purchase for this process is the atomizer screen that comes with the insertion tool to set the proper depth as explained in the video.
thank you so much for making this video. It helped me to get my heater working again on a cold night so that I could have a comfortable sleep. It also means I don’t have to worry about something break being broken on my rig and having to pay somebody else to fix it. Thanks again.
Please note the electrical connector is NOT always the high side. Sometimes it is on the inlet rather than the outlet side. This is the case for the Hydronic S3 supplied fuel pump, part number 22 4550 05. It may be true for others as well. When doing this maintenance make note of the orientation of the existing fuel pump.
Correct, connector orientation varies for different fuel metering pump styles. Install the fuel pump according to the installation instruction for the specific heater you are installing.
Sorry, not sure if you have a question or if this is just a general comment. : ). If you have a question, happy to try and find you an answer. Kind regards, Eberspaecher Social Team
Hey Rick, I've emailed Tech Support directly and will add their answer as soon as it arrives. Apologies for the tardy response time. Will endeavour to do better. Kind regards, your Eberspaecher Social Team
Hey Rick... here's the response I received from Tech Support: The error codes can be found in the repair instruction. Instructions should be made available from wherever you obtained your heater. Alternatively, they can be downloaded from the Partner Portal. Unfortunately these files are too large to send via email. P00012A Unsuccessful start procedure: * Check exhaust and combustion air system. * Check fuel quantity and fuel supply, see page 22. * Renew the fuel filter. * Clean the fuel filter in the connection socket of the metering pump. P000126 Flame cutout within the control range 0% - 25%: * Check exhaust and combustion air system * Check fuel quantity and fuel supply (see page 22) * Check flame sensor, see Fault Code P000120 and Fault Code P000121. Hope this helps.
@@EberspaecherNorthAmerica Well, I have bought the heater as part of a campervan. I was standing in the cold and could not figure out how to start the heater. Having instructions publicly available (and not behind partner page) would be helpfull not? Thanks anyway!
I’m terribly sorry (and embarrassed) that this heater slipped through the cracks but that completely new fan unit probably cost the same as about 3 new Chinese heaters that last for years and years 😂
Comment from @douglasharley2440 who bought the Chinese knock-off. Not the edit below. So you jusdt never know, @bbdgha i paid $160, including shipping for an 8kw Chinese diesel heater (included 5l tank), and i've been running it for almost 2 weeks now and I LOVE IT!!! just finished-up my first 5l fill-up of the tank, and it has been effortlessly keeping my tiny home built in a box truck a very comfortable 75-80 degrees in 20-30 degrees weather. i couldn't be happier. EDIT: the thing worked great for 3 weeks and then broke permanently due to crappy wiring. DON'T BUY THE KNOCK-OFF HEATERS, THEY'LL BREAK AND CANNOT BE FIXED.
@@EberspaecherNorthAmerica my $160 knock off been running 24/7 New Zealand winter for over 8 years flawlessly now and will tear down this summer to check inside and sling a gasket kit in $1.00, new bearings NMB ZZ625 $3.00. 😂😂😂😂
Hey Michael. My answer from tech support was “the EasyStart Pro software can be updated using the EasyScan diagnostic tool.” Hope this helps. Happy New Year!
The burn chamber gasket will be cracked, that is normal !!!!!!!! What a joke If the gasket is cracked you will be poisoned You my friend should not be doing videos!!!!
Hey Wander... straight from the Trainer's keyboard: "The Hydronic S3 does not have an atomizing screen. The combustion chamber and burner assembly has been redesigned." Hope this answers your question.
@@EberspaecherNorthAmerica I left out one detail as I wasn't aware there was an Airtronic model S3 - I'm talking about the hydronic unit here. But - safe bet they share this redesigned assembly? Would make sense. Thank you!
Hi John... that's an excellent idea and I'll be passing your suggestion along. In fact, I think what I'll do is suggest a landing page for each product that has everything a user might need to know, including the manual and any how-to videos we have for the product. And I think the plan, going forward, is to include a QR code that opens up a page like I just described. Thx John.
Okay, Mark... this is the response I receivbed from tech support: The Easy Start Pro does not replace the EasyStart Select directly, the EasyStart Pro is only compatible with the AX2 and AX3 family of air heaters and the HS3 CS family of coolant heaters. It does have built in ambient temperature monitoring, but that is only compatible with an AX2 or AX3 heater. For further questions about the controller or controller replacements please contact our Technical Support Team at CA-TO-TechServices@eberspaecher.com. Hope it answers your question, Mark.
Great guide except on my controller when I program no1 then move to nu2 , it shuts off nu1. I go back in and turn on nu1 again, it shuts off number 2. I havent even tried to program nu3 yet.

@@EberspaecherNorthAmerica I started in August we are laid off right now though because of the GM automobile strike I started as a temp worker it's a good job gets hot on those summer days pays good so I'm waiting to get called back soon.

So do you need a separate connection to hook up both Airtronic and Hydronic heaters to one single East start pro? The info is horrible on it and nobody can answer my question.

Yes it was simple. I just called and ordered the separate cable that is just a daisy chain you add on and plug into the heaters. I forget the part number but they know what you are looking for of you call a dealer
I Discover that the heater, startup more Better, if i remove One turn of the layer from the grid atomizer...and this make more Easy remove It in future maintenance
Hi Edward. We're sorry you had issues with our product. Did you take it back to the dealer? If you don't mind my asking, where did you purchase it. We've had issues with customers buying their heaters online from unauthorized sellers. Just something to keep in mind.
hi ! can you use tghe easy start pro to control a ventilation unit (like kalori silencio2) linked to the hydronic heater? or do you need to install a separate control unit with a separate room temp sensor?
Hi Fabien and thank you for your question. According to our engineering depart, unfortunately the answer to your question is no. The EasyStart Pro is a CAN based controller and the ventilation units (like Kalori silencio 2) don’t have CAN communications built in. But I will definitely pass your question / suggestion on to our development team. I'd be surprised if this wasn't something they're already working on. If anything should develop in this area, I'll be sure to let you know about it. Again, your feedback is much appreciated, Fabien.
What if the vent gets blocked and won't turn on? When this happened, I wasn't with our vehicle, but the 'renters' said they woke up and the heater had shut off. After talking with them, it sounds like a computer bag may have been placed near or in front of the vent.
