For a consumer/arcade game, definitely. It was however not state-of-the-art. That trophy goes to expensive industrial systems like the Evans & Sutherland CT series, which at that time already did fully textured 3D with gouraud shading, transparencies, non-linear fog and anti-aliasing(via sub pixel averaging).
This was amazing at the time used to play it every time I visited the arcades, and you sat inside the cockpit and it was on hydraulics so moved about in the corners, really was superb. Thanks for the memories
3D polygon graphics in the late 80s? Wowzers! (and yes, I know about Atari's I.Robot) How come a game like this didn't get more coverage than, say, Virtua Racing?
What a great looking game I have not heard of before! The sense of speed and how smooth the frame rate is, very impressive! Thanks for sharing and subbed!!!
No, before this there was "I, Robot" in 1984, and before that there was "Battlezone" in 1980, and if you really wanna go back there was "Maze War" in 1973.
