Great job! I was feeding homeless people in queen street nearly every week from 2008 for 6-7 years, and the ones I've talk to are some of the nicest people your ever meet.
Bunch of useless bums, too lazy to work , go on the dole & pretend to be homeless & scab for money. I tell them to piss off , go take take a bath , shave & go to WINZ to get a job. "Big" Bruce Howick , Auckland 🤗😁
They're all just plain useless, I know I use to be one of them and we all use to smoke synthetic. It was a dumb booring heart wrenching life in which i regret doing. But when I hustled I use to gamble it all and make hundreds in just 30 mins and if i didnt win i use to beg some more and gamble all that until i won heaps. But I had my degree before I went out on the streets and now I'm back in the workforce making heaps of money which I thank God for and I'll never do this stupid s*it anymore and I'm glad I'm off the drugs. I have always loved my designer wear and my fashion and I'm glad that I'm getting back into it again. 😄
I was homeless for two years and I don’t agree with mumsie saying it’s a hierarchy on the street..I always felt like it was not about that it’s tempt an open book everyone’s allowed in and we all stuck together ya know..anyway enjoyed this vid and I hope all these people find there feet again as I finally did after being homeless and addicted to drugs I finally have my own place now so yeah and I was suicidal but there is light at the end of the tunnel..keep ya head up my kiwi brothers and sisters love from Australia 🇦🇺
I was homeless after a relationship breakup.I became quiet and I was smoking Butt's eating at da soup kitchen here in WGTN and I got sick.i had phycosis. I saw and heard things and I got worse.23 years I was Homeless.I was a loner. Then my daughter txts me after all those years and says she wants to meet.God blessed me. I have a house now thanks to DCM.
The sad truth is Australia follow the New Zealand Blueprint, Pretending everything is of 1st world Quality and Operating perfectly all round, Yet truth of the real situation being, Inability to cater to the small percentage of people demanding affordable housing opportunities to improve living standards and bring the standards up to that of a True 1st world country. 0 Homeless in this day and age. So Australia is on par with New Zealand when it comes to duty of care for the homeless. TRUTH
There is work in New Zealand for people that want to work..fruit pickers are in big demand..come to a smaller town...work here in the King Country @ meatworks...bus drivers ( they will train you)..resthomes desperately need caregivers..get off your arse & stop bludging off taxpayers.
Your not kiwi, chap wait unitl your families been here a few generations. Winter isn't hard there compare to Central Otago or Southland. The ambient temperature is so much higher. They need to get out of town. Get away from the BS, no money but a few seeds and a set place makes a big difference
Open up the marae's in Auckland for our homeless! Actually all the marae's around the motu should open their doors to our homeless! A majority of marae around the motu have received funding to fix their marae, so it is now time to give back!
fk you on.....open up our church charities, leeching of the comunity, building rest homes, for the elderly's estate's, building and investing in commercial buildings for profits and telling us, ''when an emergency occurrs we will sell them, how did that work out during the lockdown. or the earthquakes, did you sell, or just gave the donations you were given. There's a good chance our marae's would be used for the benefit of scrupulus bastards, maori and pakeha, so nah, its an entity to be protected, what we are experiancing is corporate, political and christian scamduggery against maori!! if this country had a worthy charity, its not fkn churches, it's our childrens hospital, ronald mcdonald house and cancer society, who invest the money they get for what they say! all the rest...depend on homelessness, mental health and that...to make money!!!
I try to understand their situation, I'm not a native English speaker with student Visa who can only work part time and I could find a job and decent home and food also I pay taxes here, I just survive with my weekly pay, I don't understand why this people who can speake English perfectly and have the support from many organizations, no only the government live in the streets ... I know some of them have mental issues but not all of them... where I am from the people who are living in the streets just have a few choices for get out of their situation....
Regardless of where you come from, what childhood you grew up in, its YOU who CHOOSES what LIFE you WANT! Want to be a millionaire? GO AND WORK HARD FOR THAT BUISNESS! People have little dreams that DONT make them MOTIVATED! HARD WORK BEATS TALENT! - You got this my Whaanau. Arohamai stay strong.
Easy to say when you have a roof over your head, 3 square meals, people who care about you. It's hard for these people to move forward in life while worrying about how to feed themselves. But that obviously you know nothing about
8 kids with a roof, clothes and 4 round meals a muthafckn day. I didn't get here by wading in my depression. I put my hand out and started reaching for opportunities to get my family and I outta the shit I had put us in. This BS " we need the jobs that we want" type fckn attitude isnt fckn helping. How's about, take that shit job till you can get what you really want. We can only help those who want to be helped.
I stayed with this lady FLOSS. She had a home from HNZ, she let anyone in from the streets. They would argue, fight & drink if they could everyday! Her & a few of the streetys would busk to get their daily habits. She found living on the streets safer than her own home, I spent 2 weeks @ hers & I was glad to have found my own place with freedom, not a feeling of been robbed well paying a ridiculous amount of board to see no food.
I have been here,, I m really sorry guys,, everyone's on drugs,,I feel really hurt for all human beings here,,I know i5s so cold in auckland...I m sorry,, as a highly educated person,, all I want is to help people...fuck everything
What can I do to help? I live in North Canterbury. I have a spare bedroom but there is not much in the way of jobs. I have a car but cannot drive but am close to two country towns . I have help with meals and gardening but it is minimal. Perhaps there is someone that can help,us both ?
It starts with your mindset. How can a poor migrants from poor country migrate to New Zealand & Australia do so well. Because they see opportunity. How can some disable people I see at some work places aren’t homeless? Because they ignore their disabilities but go to work. I saw a courier driver with one arm turned up to work everyday. I saw a lady on a wheelchair turned up to work at a retirement village everyday. How many disable people do you know they work? There are many successful people who used to be homeless around. Well, there is nothing wrong with you, if you stop blaming others and get up, go and look for opportunity, it will come. I was in your place before, sleep in cars, boarding houses but not giving up on wanted to live in a better life. You can always turn your life around, no matter what. You can always bounce back, if you DECIDE to take action and make a change.
Wow i loved this video i did an assignment on social justice an human rights regarding tangata whenua in Auckland that are homelessness alone is 60%-70% now. Not only on the streets but in cars an transit from place to place. it saddens me that the government are only now doing something about this issue. floss korero was amazing i tautoko what she has to say shes very on to it.
