Burlow castle (now extinct) Bur(Saxon-shelter)Lough -the large area below in the valley bottom known as Mag Mere Mag being Margaret Sackville. The stones were repurposed overtime for road mending Milton Street (see Geering -Hailsham our parish 1830 )and others adorn neighbouring gardens. Most of this is accumulated knowledge l worked out for myself, hope it might be useful.
Ok here's some locations for you. I have been to many hotels over the years and here are 3 very haunted hotels. THE TUNBRIDGE WELLS HOTEL GHOST The Tunbridge Wells Hotel has got itself a bit of a reputation for being haunted. Many, many years ago, before the building was a hotel, it went by the name of ‘High House’. The story goes that a young woman leapt to her death, broken hearted, after being refused access to her lover - very Romeo and Juliet. Her ghost is said to haunt Room 16 where bedroom furniture mysteriously moves around, and sheets have been thrown across the room. There has only been one sighting of the young maiden; this was in 1997 when it is said that a ghostly woman in grey was seen wandering the halls, witnessed by terrified guests and staff alike. Red lion hotel Colchester room 10 Grosvenor Hotel, Shaftesbury, Dorset room 12 All rooms are haunted by female ghosts.
A friend of mine is absolutely terrified of that place and will never go there again. He won't even say why. Just tells me to change the subject. Great video and once again your honest reporting is appreciated 👍
Hi I've never heard of this place it's got a varied reputation for all things paranormal hasn't it, I was hoping you would see or hear something,I bet it looked really creepy when it got dark, enjoyed the video guys 😊😊
All stories, legends and half remembered tales are always worth an investigation even if nothing of note happens. I, for one, would kick myself if I hadn't investigated a location and a whole books worth of phenomena was witnessed the next day. All legends and fables are thought to have been ground in truth back through history so they can never be willfully written off. Great vid and the history was interesting. Thanks for the watch and better luck next time n place mate.
All these ghost busting channels use the ghost busting gadgets like, spirit boxes, emf meters, cat balls etc. Without using these there channels would die. No science behind any ghost busting gadget. For example a cat ball are a cats toy that's all, but for some reason the ghost busting world have decided that they flash because a dead person touches them... 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣
Another honest video. Would much rather watch a video like this, with a bit of history of the place but where nothing happens, than any of the fake videos out there where things allegedly happen every few seconds! Looks like Devon's answer to the hotel from 'The Shining'.😂👍
Thanks for telling us nothing happens. I won't bother watching it now. By the way, in a hotel like that I'd say £5 for two pints of Pepsi isn't bad. It's not RS McColls, is it? Not that I drink any of that muck.
@@yvonnehayton6753 It was £5 for each pint. I would still recommend watching the video as if only the ones that had genuine ghosts in were worth watching hardly anyone would have any views on their channels.
Will be starting my own paranormal investigation channel later in the year and very much share your ethics in honest reporting of what you experienced. Great job and you also now have another subscriber.👍
My friend scolded his hand bad whilst working in room 130, the room which we later found out the lady had been scolded to death in 2011, with a possible murder being suspected!!!
I honestly don’t believe anywhere is haunted at all, at all, why because although all of these stories are told by those who stay in these haunted buildings about multiple ghosts but when investigators actually do real investigations or a scientific investigations there, they never get anything, ever, it’s usually quiet and nothing happens, at all, I don’t know why I even watch these useless videos any more, I do believe in ghosts but all these places usually don’t. Weald results, even similar to the reports at all
Lovely video, but can I correct some errors please. We have new history that will be updated soon. The Inn was built in 1776 as a farm before becoming a rough and ready Inn. Daphne du Maurier was actually staying at the Inn, hence why the horses knew their way home in 1930. She came back the following year in November 1931 and had afternoon tea, (it was a Temperance House for 70 years) with the local Vicar of Alturnun who told her tales of Smuggling and wreaking, which started the idea that formed into the famou book. The first paranormal sighting was outside on the wall in 1911. There are no bad spirits here, just a prankster and much more. Hannah is a folklore in room 5, which has grown over the years, though a little boy and girl have been reported many times. You will need hours to hear all the history and paranormal reports which have been documented for many years. It might be an idea to join on a private team hire, so you are allowed to investigate the building. x
Hi! Thanks so much for commenting, and for the corrections ☺ Fascinating history, I'd love to delve deeper still. Unfortunately I live quite far from the Inn itself, but would love to return to join a group investigation one day when I'm able!
Nice.. It's fascinating that your motion sensor cameras were triggered multiple times. I usually discount "orbs" as motes of dust, but your bedroom appears to have several of them 17:51 onward. Haunted or not, the Jamaica Inn looks quite comfortable. I plan to stay there next time I'm in Cornwall. thanks...
Thanks so much for watching! I'd highly recommend a stay. It has a lot of atmosphere, even if you don't happen to see anything during your time there. I'll have to take a closer look at that footage then...
When i was little (probably about 6) I slept in the spare room where my Nana and Grandad slept when they stopped over at our house,Grandad had died about a month before this. The window was left open as it was a warm night and i remember waking up and seeing what I took to be a misty cloud hovering over me. I cried for my Mum who put it down to a nightmare, but I wondered if it was Grandad coming to see me
Thank you for sharing. It seems possible it could have been real, memories have a funny way of distorting themselves but it's interesting you still remember it now!
Aww loved this video can you imagine the pain and suffering and death in the place I watched a fascinating video what ,Walk with me Tim did he stayed in the Bodmin jail hotel and he had a chance to walk all over the jail it's really good if your interested it's on RU-vid 😊
I'd have to agree how unconvincing these Daily Mirror photos are. It's a shame how photoshopped content generates so many mouse clicks. Some RU-vid ghost channels, like Slapped Ham, have over three million subs, whereas channels that debunk supposed ghost vids, like World of MrGrey, often have fewer than 20k subs. I enjoy a good old ghost story as much as anyone and often flip through my Readers Digest copy of Folklore Myths and Legends of Britain. ...But obviously fake pics and vids are awful.
Another well worked vid matey. The history of Bodmin Gaol was fascinating to watch as I didn't know too much about the place. The footage of William Hampton was intriguing but I have to remain on the fence. I'd like it to be real but I do have a doubt all be it very small. I am a firm believer in the paranormal but the cynic in me sometimes thinks, especially where a pub or hotel is involved and the hospitality industry still on it's knees, could there be a little Headliner grab advertising. Please don't take these critiques as aimed at your work which I find is top drawer and I look forward to the next one. Thanks for a great watch.😀
Hello there this was a good documentary, very scary true story I heard about this before. I'm new to your channel and subscribed. Looking forward to your next video❤
