Im 22 and I have been going through chronic back pain and Sciatica pain for over 2 1/2 years. I've gone through 2 surgeries. I'm at the point where a spinal stimulator is my final option to try and relieve my chronic pain(Manage pain) I've been doing as much research as possible to help stay positive and this outlook was very nice. Thanks for the Video! Positivity is key

Don't do it... there is little evidence that it works and they remove part of your vertebrae. My mom had it done and it is a nightmare. They don't tell you that you will never be able to have back adjustments or let any other doc ever touch you. The battery never works. She is in more pain than ever. She cries at how much she regrets it. It is a huge money maker and a huge scam.

Had this done today. Not a good experience. Only local anesthesia. I got through it. After I was bawling my eyes out in pain. It felt like they had left a burning knife in my arm. They only gave me motrin. I was PISSED! I wanted it taken out immediately! This better be worth it. Follow up : It didnt help and at one months time it was infected and had to be taken out.

It hurt to all hell 1st is a test 2nd for Medicare 3rd is when they put it in and by far the worst. Think of it like side effects meds used for the side effects. The docs like it cause it's non narcotics the feds love it. Mine was about $9k and I am going to shoot mine. I got a sprint pns. Cell phone battery and you are ground. Good luck hey ask for non Dr & Co. Referances like a patient. Me ? I hated mine

If you’re considering getting a spinal cord stimulator implanted, please read this: “Implanted Spinal Cord Stimulators for Pain Relief: Illustrating the FDA’s Dangerously Lax Oversight of High-Risk Implantable Medical Devices” Public Citizen, June 2020 Michael A. Carome, M.D. You have a right to make an informed decision based on ALL the available evidence, not just the manufacturer-funded studies. You should know that your physician may be receiving compensation from those manufacturers. You have a right to ask and to receive an honest answer. A. The procedure is NOT minimally invasive, no matter what they say; B. The devices are junk that burn, shock, and produce very serious infections and rejections from body. From 2004-2019 almost 1,000 people have died from associated effects of spinal cord stimulator surgery; C. Hundreds of people are paraplegic because the leads are placed in the extremely delicate epidural space; and while surgical techniques are improving, the surgeons haven’t figured out exactly why some people are still made paraplegic by the device and the surgery; D. Almost half of participants need re-operation from “lead migration”, shifting leads and dural puncture. Make sure you know the risks. There are factors that cannot be tested in trail; first is the leads in the trial really do not simulate exactly where they will be permanently. Many of us experienced great surprise in the significant difference; it took years of reprogramming (when I could GET a Nevro rep to actually meet with me to reprogram) to get even half the relief of the trial. Next is the lack of responsiveness of Nevro to perform requisite integrity checks on the stimulator prior to getting an MRI. I am suffering with level 8 to 10 pain for over a week which may indeed be a tumor or blood clot in my groin area. Nevro failed to respond to the hospital’s requests for over a week to come to do the impedance check. I finally used a mobile number that I had gotten for one of the reps when she texted me that she could not make an appointment. From there I finally got them to respond but - guess what - they do not work on weekends and would not come on Friday evening (to the hospital) to perform the check. I have spent hours in the ER getting IV pain management meds to help me but the pain goes back up to a level 8, 9, or 10 when the meds wear off. The doctor can do nothing else without that MRI. This device is coming out during my next surgery.

Hi, I have had the Nevro nerve stimulator in my back for chronic pain for 3 years, it has surgically been adjusted twice and replaced once during that time, it has proven to be a complete waste of time and has caused me more pain and anxiety, I have limited support from Nevro and no follow up, do not put your faith in this product because you will be disappointed. I continue to take copious amounts of drugs for my pain and have tried many doctors for relief, all they do is to prescribe more drugs. Save your money try something else.

@@ralphduarte6211 The Procedure itself went really well. It's just the recovery that was hard for me. I was very, very sore and in lots of pain from the surgery itself. Make sure you stay on top of the pain after your surgery. And you can't do any bending over for 6 weeks. You might consider getting yourself a gripper to pick things off the floor.

I have the stimulated and it has done nothing and fell and leads moved so now going to a pain center for this very curious why not surgery first? They made me do that first before they put in the stimulator in , I thought that was odd why put me through all that when it might have been better first with stimulator ,! My Surgan has destroyed my life pain went into my left Café and now it’s worse then before I need help?
