You have some good points that you’ve raised in this video. I also am concerned about the widespread use of herbicides, which has carcinogenic implications for humans, in grape growing. Since the time in which your video was produced there has been a recent movement in the wine industry called, “Regenerative Agriculture.” In my opinion, it’s a step above organic farming in that it promotes a living wage philosophy for workers. For Christians, this fits in nicely with the spirit of James 5:4. A good person to listen to (podcast wise) on regenerative agriculture is Jason Haas, Partner and General Manager at Tablas Creek Vineyard. While I am at it, I think we should be more sensitive about recognizing environmental rights. This can be grounded in the sense of 3rd generation human rights and/or creation spirituality along side a non middle Platonic view of Christ's Kingdom transforming creation as articulated by the Anglican theologian N.T. Wright. As another concern, in the wine country of the Santa Barbara county where I live, there has been a recent increase in new vineyards being established with high fences that keep the deer out. Unfortunately, the deer and other wildlife no longer have a safe passage to go from one area to another. One concerned land owner told me a few months ago, that the deer in the area are starving because they can’t go and have access to where the food is. I recently gave a Zoom talk about the spirituality of wine (Pinot Noir in particular) to the Concordia Wine Society in St. Louis. The society was composed of faculty, spouses and students from the Lutheran Seminary in that area. In preparing my talk, I came across a recent article from Karen MacNeil. She is the editor of the Wine Bible. She wrote a piece entitled,

“Nothing Left to Say? The End of Wine Writing.” The article was based upon a speech she gave for a leadership series at U.C. Davis for those in the wine industry. Karen MacNeil said the following: “Wine writing as a profession, a craft, even sometimes an art, is disappearing. And it’s not clear what, if anything, will replace it.,.” “Why is wine important?” She than, followed up with these questions: “Do schools and universities have a responsibility to talk about and teach the historical, cultural, philosophic, and emotional role wine plays in society? To talk about, discuss, and examine why wine is important?” “One thing is true: writers cannot write moving stories-can’t emotionally touch readers--unless winemakers and viticulturists have something moving to say.“ I believe those are good questions that you might ponder as well. I look forward to your future videos that might follow up on the spirituality of wine.

I love this paradigm. I would add to the groups of people-yogis. 99.99 % of yogis are harmed people looking for healing and enlightenment. Some turn into teachers and that space is FRAUGHT!!! Learned that the hard way. Same with counselors and social workers

You spend waay to much time in sugar...You are aware they make sugar free? And also more and more people are drinking the sugar free versions. Also I know technically you don't get energy from caffeine but that is what makes you feel like you have energy. By what your describing when I drink sugar free it should do nothing because it has no energy in it. Sorry couldn't get past the 5 min mark.... Way to much time in sugar when these days people are becoming aware of sugar.

Why BIPOC, and not just BI? You're highlighting the suffering of one group but not the others, are we going to go full circle and realize we should describe each group as it is?
