why can I write? I've had these headphones for about a year now and I can say without a doubt that they are exceptional headphones. truly unique I could only write this: "go and buy Gl-Amt16 go and buy Gl-Amt16" I'm fascinated by them and I had most of the flagships but for "electronic" music Schiller, Koan, Astonaut Ape, Kaon" are like an audiophile's wet dream come true, they are very fast, they do not color the sound, they just show what it is like, they play analogue with super resolution, they are perfectly balanced, with a huge stage and the best high tones I have ever heard, it is simply something unusual my favorites are sp1000ss / final audio c106 / Amt16 Wm1z / final audio c106 / Amt16 Bravo GoldenPlanar Bravo
Thanks for the video. I just bought the watch too, and I love it. In case you’re not aware, you left the plastic cellophane on the case back. You can see it with the red stripe going across. Just a friendly heads up that you might want to take that off.
Sound is very subjective. This is selling very well and is limited to 199 I think. Everyone I know who has bought them think it's one of the best. There will always be people who cannot settle for least even if it is very little in our eyes. Everyone has different preferences and listening requirements. Therefore, I cannot comment on whether it is 8 times better. Although there must be a point of diminishing returns. If you can afford it why not;) Just as long as you find enjoyment in listening to it. I think this is the main point. Make yourself happy.
Thanks for sharing ,Paul. Can you tell me how the quality of the bracelet and clasp are. I heard that they are jangly and not as good if you’re used to Rolex, Patek, AP quality.
they're definitely not jangly, but if you're hoping for the same level of bracelet as watches that cost 5/10/20 times the price, you'd be disappointed.
This is the worst product Never ever buy a cayin product !!!!!! Bought my at late Nov 2023 and send in for repair and got back from Cayin March 2024 , as the unit get very warm to hot. But that not the worse the worst is that the unit get warm it hangs the Hiby music apps and got to restart all times . The Horrible of my life is that the machine plays the music without scanning the memory card in the unit . I send the video of the clip as poof to cayin service in china and they denied it completely and say they cannot find the fault and they NEVER EVER GOT IT REPAIR AT ALL. Worse is that they damage the unit on the volume knob and got a big dent in it and the bottom of the unit is scratch ???? what kind of unprofessionlism of service technicians damaging conssumer set ???? And never ever bother to say or apologise although i don‘t stay in CHINA. I live in singapore and the unit is not cheap at all of $4200 in singapore currency. Guys if you readng all these never ever trust ,the RU-vidr Review as they don’t buy and use the unit as we consumer do with our hard earn money as we buy them . The sound quality is not warm as they claim at all but bright sounding and very thinning sound. Again i would say IT IS NOT WARM at all, either rich,thick or lush !!!!! Soundstaging is normal not fanastic. So remember never ever buy CAYIN PRODUCT IF NOT YOU LEARN YOUR LESSON THE HARD WAY AS I DO !!!!!!! BEWARE
pair it w anything you like, amber pearl quite nice improvement but youll have to buy the unique melody as well dap nowadays can also be used as pc/phone/laptop/gadget dac, so a win2 portability and desktop wise

You got the very 1st one, that is sweet... I did that with the Alpha/Omega RA and was very happy. Keep looking at buying these but keep talking myself out of the 4k.
Just wish you would talk more about the sound, how does it sound in comparison, Like is it near the Oriolus Szalayi or the madoo typ512 or something??? The packing is wonderful but is the IEM top of the line or middle ground or just normal $100 IEM? I'm not trying to be rude but if I am going to drop $1400+ I would like to know a little more about the sound I own 27 different IEM's from $18-$3200 but i like to know what I'm in for :) Thanks
Sound is very subjective. The Gold one is a 14 drivers IEM. For each ear, it has 4 BAs for high, 2 for the mids and 1x 9mm DD. This sound is warm and full. The Sound stage is wide and the DD is used to give it a HiFi sound and warm feel. Since the highs are 4 x BA, it sounds sweet at the top. Paired with the Gold cable it makes it wider in the sound stage and improves the vocals. It works well with the RS8 DAP. But testing also on LP6TI and N30LE which works very well with it. Hope this helps.
Fair point but everything is relative in price. You want pay US$30K and get a Lange movement you are always welcome. According to me this is great value at the right price point. If you expect to pay $3K and expect Lange hand engraved balance cock with own movement someone needs to wake you up from your dream;)
@@watchcollector4293 I'm just being real here, not dreaming. At this price, there are plenty of watches with better accuracy. It doesn't mean this watch is bad or less valuable just because it's Chinese. But let's admit, it's not the best for its price, especially in terms of design, in my opinion.
Lovely review! I was wondering what these might be like if they were headphones? I like headphones like the Goldplanar GL2000 and the Sendy Peacock; headphones to me that sound large, organic and well layered (almost like speakers), and I was wondering if these would sound similar to that but in IEM form? If they make strings and drums feel life-like and organic, then these would definitely be a standout IEM! Cheers!
I have tried out the GL2000 and it's a quality OTE headphone and the price is even more attractive. Ofc, the OTE headphones sound is more preferable. I gather most people went for the GL2000 if size is not an issue. I bought it because for the price it was a no brainer for what it offered. As they say the IEM always try to mimic the OTE headphones and the headphones mimic the speakers;). I recommend the IEMs for how it sounds for the price.
Can you compare these to Noble viking Damascus? I thought that's 6000$ or 8000$? I believe the TI has better mids but can it touch the bass slam and dynamics of the noble?
Fair enough. I try not to compare a $4000 watch to a $30000 watch. Can it compare to a Lange or Patek? Maybe not yet. It's a subjective thing equivalent to liking or not liking a song:) I try to enjoy it for what it is.
I love the outstanding sound of my Ti99 but I hate transfering files to SD cards. After testing several really fast cards, I still am unable to transfer more than 40 albums… the thing just keep crushing
I don't get this problem on a 1TB SD card using the SAN Disk Extreme. I think the problem is the music file. I realized there are some corrupt files on the SD card and it will crash it. You need to identify them and remove them. There is no problem using the full 1TB and about 200 albums at least.
Great review and so informative. I have the Cayin N8ii which is incredible with my Hifiman 1000 se. I too have been concerned about the glitches with the new Cayin but you have allayed my fears. Would really love one. Do you still rate the N8ii. I think it is incredible but still look for better. The Luxury & Precision you can't stream music from it is that correct. Do you think Cayin will release an upgrade to the N8ii and should I wait? Thanks again
The N8ii is still a major milestone for Cayin. It was the start of the new GUI interface and opened up with Android based OS bringing new Apps into the DAP. Still a great DAP and the preowned prices are low entry point so great value. Personally, from the sound POV, the N30LE is in another class level. Hence I urge you to listen to one if you can to compare. The N30LE was conceived from the ground up so it is expected to have glitches. It is so complex to take on such an ambitious project for the 30th anniversary but it was the best decision they have made. Who dares wins and they have won a lot of respect for doing it. I have both the N30LE and the LP6Ti, P6Pro Ti99 love the variety of sound these brings. But you equally need a TOTL IEM to go with it to get the best out of them. LPs design thinking was never to make it complicated and focused purely on getting the best sound out so Mr Wan's philosophy was to not go full Android so not allow streaming from apps such as Tidal,etc. since he considered it to take away from the essence of a good sound by adding these complications. I do buy into his idea hence I have a variety of DAPs to cater for different sound types one wants to hear. BTW, check out my new project www.muxicbox.com. It brings together horology and music for hobbyists who loves both;)

Would you recommend upgrading to N30LE? I do want streaming facility and so LP etc wont work for me. How much better in percentage is the N30LE to the N8ii. Still cant believe it can get better than N8ii. A dealer in the UK wanted me to purchase the N30LE and said it would be out of stock soon. Its still on his website. Not sure what to do. @@anncleverley-u2n Sound quality is very subjective, I can only speak for my personal preference. I was a N8ii guy and never wanted to upgrade but now I have tried both I personally think it is worth the upgrade to N30LE. I am using the standard N30LE and very happy with it and then sold my N8ii. So I only had to pay the difference to upgrade. The IEM also makes a difference but the AMP on the N30LE makes a big difference for me. If you are using the Traillii Ti it will sound 3D and panaramic. Try to listen to it first. I do think it is big to take out on the road though. But yes personally it is better than the N8ii since it feels like a desktop machine. The difference is significant to me:)
I think it was 20mm at the buckle. TBH, it was a watch I liked very much but my experience with Chanel was so traumatic when I brought it in for service that I decided to sell this at half the price to get rid of the memories of the bad experience. Frankly, I never want to be a Chanel customer again. So I decided to focus on Neo Vintage and Micro brands now.

Thanks! The price of these will be so low and the sound will be so detailed but not to harshly sharp on the ears and amazing that you won't believe it. It is has switches on it to fine tune to the nuisances of bass and treble you like since I understand music and sound is subjective. I cannot compare to an USD$8000 IEM but I really do like this sound for around US$2000 since every part of it is sheer quality. Just the cable itself is over the price of the complete IEM, cable and case. I personally love the sound of this and is testing for the next 2-3 months whilst I am also prototyping the meteorite watch. As I said it is a personal project to bring you the best sound and the best watch I can for below $4000 USD + delivery. I will not make money from this but I value and enjoy the journey I took to get here. It is an limited version Muxicbox IEM and watch box set. I demand the best from my music and my watches and also have some pride in the work I do. I hope to make a box set which will blow your minds on the quality at an affordable price point. It will come with a laminated booklet to explain why I chose each component. The watch is also one of my favourite, Swiss made and Swiss quality from watchmakers who worked from the Holy Trinity, the number one at the top. A Gold meteorite and an Anthracite Meteorite dial looks amazing. I don't like that people cannot afford a decent meteorite dial watch without having to spend over USD40-50K. I hope all my friends like it, half are already allocated when I just tell them about my project. I have spent a considerable amount of time these last 2 weeks testing the IEMs and field testing it. It is very reliable since I have taken it on travel, I am pleased to say and held out well. @@Krol_Artur Just an update. We have just complete the rigorous testing of both the Gold and Platinum versions of the IEM. The sound is just amazing. I have compared it to some of the best TOTL IEMs out there and we are happy with the results. These IEMS are made with passion. We love what we are doing and trying to give our music experience to our fans of music. There are only 15 of each IEM and limited. We will not do anymore. The response has been great but we can only sell this much since it is a passion project to bring horology and music together. Thanks for your support.
At that price the quality assurance and quality control are atrocious also the UI is sub par 🤔 I'll stick to my sony Walkman which is far superior to this disaster in every way including battery life 😏
I must say Sony is amazing at their presentation and packaging since Japanese are just mature in this area. The P6Pro Ti99 IMHO from the platinum case and Eichizen lacquered wood, size, quality of sound is better than the Sony but as I say sound is a very subjective thing and there is no right or wrong. Users are very savy buyers, the fact that all the LPs are sold out just tells us which one is more appreciated by the top listeners. Let the sells do the talking. The prices of the last Sony Gold brick has come down a lot on the preowned market so it is a good time to get one if a Sony fan. Yes, the LP user interface is simple but I love the speed and simplistic of it. It's a no none sense UI and meets my purpose. Ultimately the SQ is the thing which really matters to me. Yes, I think overall the QA could be improved. I hope it's a matter of time. By 2025 is the time that made in China will be ready with some of the best quality products. In 2023 I am already seeing it and it's not even though yet. Good point though;)
BTW the P6Pro Ti99 battery life is probably better than the Sony. It was the 6 year old product LP6 where the battery maturity was not that good then hence I am waiting for the LP7;)
