These three grew up in O’Block. All very good friends. Called each other brothers. Oblock is in Chicago Illinois. King Von has been in and out of jail his whole life. Earliest crime he spoke on was when he was 12 years old. He stole a vehicle. Oblock (originally parkway gardens) was named after Vons friend Odee Perry who was murdered outside of Oblock’s gates. Von’s best friend(T.Roy [practically brothers. Always together unless one was locked up]) was there when he died. Von (also referred to as V.Roy, Grandson, and in his younger years “Hitman”) was born into a gang war. Police took away all of the leaders causing very young children to be left sad, angry, grieving, and with weapons. By the age of 13 it was normal for them to carry guns. It was a kill or be killed environment. The BDs vs the GDs. Vons daddy was murdered when he was 11 at the skating rink by a sniper rifle. Von expressed how much this messed with him even saying he couldn’t sleep most nights. His good friend best friend at the time named Whitey was murdered on Vons 18th birthday. Von said that he thought Whitey would survive but then he witnessed his death. After this Von got very close with T.Roy. When Von was locked up one time, T.Roy was shot and killed which broke Von and was a breaking point for him and many others who loved T.Roy. T.Roy and V.Roy were top shooters for their block. They was the main protectors. Anyone who harmed their people or threatened them, they would go to them. Von got the news in jail, hung up the phone, paced for a long time, but when one of his friends grabbed him and stopped him to check on him as soon as he said “My bestfriend… they just killed my best friend” he apparently broke down on the steps while some of his people held him. Allegedly seeing Von cry made others cry because Von never showed his emotions so everyone knew something was wrong. He reportedly cried in his cell for weeks. His mental was really bad. He told his people on the outside that something needs to be done and him and his cousin(?)(possibly just close family friend) promised the other side a blood bath. All of T.Roy’s closest people formed the GBG (Get Back Gang). T.Roy’s little brother (HK) ended up killing T.Roy’s killer before he was killed. HK was never really in the streets while T.Roy was alive because T.Roy kept him focused on school and sports. T.Roy left behind a son. Von was eventually locked up for a murder and two attempts but beat all the cases. Von started to rap to make money and keep him out of trouble. He rapped about his life growing up. The pain, struggle, and then his success. Von was killed after celebrating the release of his album Welcome to OBlock which he released on T.Roys birthday. Von used his money he made to provide for his block. Giving out money, paying people’s rent, creating daycares, buying bikes/food for the kids (he bought out a little candy store for the kids). He moved his family out of the area. He’d always go back and make sure his people were good. He left behind a boy and 2 girls (True, Dayvon Jr., and Demi) but he was unaware of one of the girls because the mother was only a month or so pregnant at the time. He owned his masters so all of his earnings from his music goes directly to his kids. Fun Fact: King Von, T.Roy’s son, and Dayvon Jr. all have the same birthday (August 9th). Despite what a lot of people say, people that knew von will say that he had a huge heart and loved and protected those he loved his whole life. (Yes, his kids all know each other. All of the baby’s moms get along very well. And are all friends. The kids like to do Group FaceTime’s to stay in touch. Dayvon Jr loves to buy them new outfits)
