Singapore won the cup but this semi-final victory was the highlight I guess. Ken Worden backed out from the Singapore team before the season started which made it more sweet. Plus Alistair Edwards and Sundram left after playing for them in 1993..

What a pity and shame; SG football now.... it would be so wrong to compare present players to the olden days because it is so unfair for the present players who are hugely inferior in terms of quality. You can only compare if they are of equal quality. Present players can compare to the NFL Div 2 of the past...maybe.

The quality of football between just 1 state, Kedah, and Singapore have been taken for granted in the past. The present standards now from both Malaysia and Singapore are disgracefully (but not surprisingly) low. Players like Radhi Mat Din was not even guaranteed first 11 for Malaysia back then.
