That color looks beautiful on you! I'm in deep auburn now myself, feeling that fall vibe already despite high temps. You're going to love the new way some makeup colors look now. Exciting! The browns in the palette may be more useful now? My own shadow situation is just trying to use every palette a little bit this year, and I'm doing okay but not great.
Whoo hoo on the blush and body spray! And very pretty highlighters you rolled in. It’s always good to see products with little use come into a project, it’s like shopping or rediscovering items all over again!
Yay for finishing that blush! The last one I finished, I missed so much I replaced 9 months later. Nice new items coming in, that little loose highlighter has so many possible ways to use, right? A piece of painter's tape could fix that broken package, holds it closed but re-opens and re-tapes easily. I love my roll of blue painter's tape.
I hadn't thought of painter's tape - that's an awesome suggestion! I really don't care if it closes when I'm just using it at home, but I'd keep that in mind if I was taking it on the go!
Have you ever heard of Garden Path Lacquer or Rouge Lacquer? I got some free bottles in my swag bag thing from the event……I’ve never heard of these brands…..😂
I'm wearing a Rogue polish right now! They make a lot of polishes with flaky mixtures in them. I haven't used anything from Garden Path Lacquer, but I've heard good things! Were you at PBE in Chicago??
That’s what happened with the Kayali Rock Candy and I. I sprayed it on myself in store, walked around a bit, and it smelled bad. I smelled legit horrible. Not as horrible as the time I sprayed myself with the Glossier in store…that made me smell worse than my husband’s lawn mowing socks! 😂😂
Whoo hoo on that blush! And all those lip products out too! Im collecting data on different lip oils if I ever get around to buying one so that was very helpful. Love your glasses! Look so good with your eye makeup and the shirt! 💕
Shhhh, I'm not ready to accept that. I have tried no buy months before, but it has really messed with my head. I might have to try them again sometime. I think I'm better emotionally regulated now 🙃 and might be able to handle it better
The look came out nice! The foundation worked out too- adding the blush and bronzer really helps to see if it could work out and I really think it did!
Your collection is looking really good! You’ve done a great job of keeping things in line and your shadows look really loved. I’m interested in getting the elf halo glow- do you find the shade you got oxidizes at all? I’m worried about it getting orangey throughout the day. I’d be using it mainly under foundation though. Also what shade are you?
Thank you! I don't have specific number goals because they make me go absolutely nuts, but I'd like to see a little decrease in my eyeshadow and lipsticks
I don't personally like that jasmin brow wax thing on my brows I like a stronger hold however it is great for fly aways in your hair! Lol a little goes a long way, doesn't look crispy or greasy and keeps the frizz to a minimum
Good collection video! I can't believe you have just one mascara, but i'm a mascara freak. Anyhoo. I whip through at least a couple of those ELF Clear Brow/Lash gels a year. It's good to have clear mascara for lower lashes when you want a little definition but no possibility of smearing, or sometimes to use it as a lash primer to set the shape/separate before other mascaras; and the brow gel sets nicely too. And I couldn't help notice how those Viseart blushes stand out in a sea of other shades-- they're sooo pretty.
The beeswax allergy definitely keeps my mascara buying in check - it knocks out about 80% of what's on the market. The Viseart shades are absolutely stunning. They're so eye-catching in the pan but approachable and easy to wear. I don't know why we don't see something similar from other brands.
I agree great collection video! 💕 I had the clear elf masacras and it would clump my lashes together and make my lids hurt I think the liquid would sting too 😅. I have 2 mascaras at a time one brown and one black ☺️
You're doing great! i usually finish about 6-7 lip balms per year, and I'm on par with that, but close to killing off a gloss and a lip oil rn. I've been wearing the Kosas lip oil more than I might because I heard their products don't have a super long lifespan.
Yay for finishing lip products! I've been using my mini Kosas lip oil all the time because I love it - didn't know they tended to go bad quickly. Good info to have!
Yeah, Pixi glow tonic is great for gradually removing scars/texture/discoloration without stripping the skin. I'm not surprised the Dramatically Different is too rich for you. The Moisture Surge is nice, I especially like the MS eye gel. My own skincare is all about light layers of hydration; a toner or essence, a serum, a gel cream or water-balm, topped with a rich moisturizer. In winter there may be an oil to seal it in, too. My skin is dry but it doesn't look dry b/c I never give it that chance! If I were to rec' anything right now, it would be the Perricone M.D. Micellar Water-- gentlest, most effective one I've ever tired, doesn't sting my eyes, & it's thick so a little goes a long way. It's occasionally on Ipsy for a reasonable price.
You totally improved your nail polish shopping overall so I’d definitely say this is a win! There are just too many cool colors out there that are hard to resist. At least you’ve finished some up, I’ve maybe totally finished 1 or 2 my whole life before they got gross lol. Loved seeing all your colors- and that little bit of Beatle!
Having one large category of beauty items is almost required for a BeauTuber, isn't it? Your lacquer collection is gorgeous; your large color categories really speak to me. Thank goodness most polishes last for years & years. And gotta say, I'm loving that Sally Hansen Insta-Dry formula, even though I'm not a fan of the brush.
I really do love my polishes <3 If you're not a fan of the brush on the Insta-Dri, I feel like a warning on the Essie Expressie polishes is in order. Not only do they have a quite wide brush, it's also at a weird angle.
Nice work-- I can see quite a deep dip in that super shock shadow! BTW, hard pan comes from contact with skin oils or moisture from other cosmetics (your foundation/concealer) on the brush/applicator or by hand. It's really not about how old it is. Scratch a thin layer off with a razor or something, it'll be fine. Using a clean dry brush will help keep it smooth longer after.
Great job on the highlighter! And the blush is so so close now, I know you’ll be thrilled when its time is up, lol. Curious if that palette bronzer works better now?
I'm so ready to be done with that blush omg. It's a little better now. I think I might declutter at the end of my ten uses if my opinion doesn't change
Yay for finishing! That milky daisy yellow is precious. I got the bright apple-y green from that line and I love the formula but not the brush-- seems weirdly wide, but I'll suffer for the shade, Nice line-up coming into the project.
The brush on the Insta-Dri polishes is super wide. I love it - I think it contributes to the coverage. I can see how it could be annoying, though. The green in the collection looks lovely!
I don’t wash my face in the morning either, usually a splash of water or some toner does the job. That balm is really really interesting for makeup removal, I have a thing for things in stick form lol.
Such a pretty palette you made with all those minty colors and pinks. Pan that palette sounds like a major slog to me too, I could never commit that long!
Been saving this video to savor. Such a great pink, that first one, and the last lipstick really works with your look here. I think you've got plenty of range in these picks, and they're all perfect for any time of year.
Here's a copy of the community post. Answers here will be recorded as well. What is our shared understanding of color? Fully answering that would be a massive undertaking, but I'd like to explore our group (lack of?) consensus as it relates to colors in makeup in an upcoming video. If you'd like to participate, please follow these steps. 1. Go to Google's color picker at g.co/kgs/RrFkuRM 2. Select the color that you feel most closely corresponds to these five color names: plum, rose, mauve, blackberry, and taupe. Record the corresponding RGB codes. 3. Include the five RGB codes in a reply to this comment. Thanks for all of your help! I think this will be an interesting little project, and I hope you'll enjoy the final product.
