Gary Moore was an amazing guitarist. There are song I like and songs that sound predictable and are being played by a washing machine. I love the passion and his uncanny ability to out-Clapton Clapton on certain songs while holding back the metal riffs. He brought a lot to the table and will be remembered for sure.
London,.. or it was. it is closed down now. His last concert or performance was in Russia, yes... this is just some snippets I managed to record at his last "gig" in the UK.
Yeah and she’s not in top 10 female guitarist lists. But Joan Jett is. SMFH. This woman is pure sole and talent. Dereck well he’s in a class all by himself.
Peter Green was well aware of who he entrusted with his Les Paul (Greeny). It’s a real shame that Gary had to sell it and that it is now in the hands of those who don’t deserve it. Now Peter and Gary jammed in heaven.
Moore has it all.Same,or better than some better known guitarists.Maybe if he was with a band,he would be recognized as the player and performer he was.His solos are phrased from hours of experimentation with the electric guitar.Brilliant, haunting, original stuff.
Virgil is a bit of a legend. If you want to see more of him here's a link to a full show of a young Virgil standing in with his father's blues Band, The Excellerators. You won't need me to tell you which one is his dad, Hendry McMahon, but that's Bill Coyne on drums (ex Quireboys & Murry The Hump) oh and that's me on bass. Can i just say.Yet another british musician.Paving the way.America has only cheap copies. You know it.Uk.All the way.Even jimmy hendrix came HERE.Nuff said.the whole rock world.History.
I loved Gary's direction right before his passing... his tone sweetened a little and matured, but it was still aggressive any angry. Such a shame he passed....
@@cdrsofguitars Hi back @ Ya! No,.. gave up being a London Cabby and moved to Spain about 4 years ago. I miss those gigs and the people... hope all is good with you.
@@omegalast800 Great stuff! I've got a house in Greece these days - in fact I'm in the process of getting a residency card so we can spend a bit more time that the 90 days a year allows.
Went way too soon, your guitar playing had so much soul in it, you gave your heart out on that stage each performance, there will only ever be one Gary Moore
