That's awesome. Great idea. I see a movie trilogy coming. "Hells Angels on Ice: The forgotten years". "Hells Angels on Ice: Fighting Mounties and Frostbite" "Hells Angels on Ice: Sonny Bager, The Toeless Leader"
You must have figured out the Gearing .. Because HD's don't rev very high .. My 4 Stroke Yamaha turns 10,250 RPM .. it has a 20% reduction gear to the clutch .. At 998 CC's it makes about 160 HP and runs 116 MPH on GPS..
Yes the Idea is Excellent. Except it looks like an extremely HIGH CENTER of Gravity, Look like the engine could be mounted down inside and the 3" Belt could bring it up to the Clutches. A Standard Harley 3, 4, 5 or 6 Speed Transmission Would be interesting. Curious, How fast in the Snowmobile Land Speed Record? A Harley Transmission with the CV Clutches also. ....??? No? EeY?
Most of the weight of a HD engine is in the steel crankshaft, flywheels, connecting rods, cams and cam gears, all in the bottom end. With the increased weight the center of of gravity is much lower than with the stock engine
Hmm could not tell much, you need a proper drag strip. If you want to see a Rocket 3, Thruxton R, Griso, Tiger 900, BMW r9t race each in the quarter on a drag strip my channel has a few showing the timing slips, angles from the cheap seats and from the motorcycle. If you need to feel good about your riding.😄😄
