Police non existent, Mayor Full of it invisible, air not healthy, city and state officials corruption, mixed culture socialist group out of control, fire departments patrolling like their corrupt, unorganized, construction over saturated new buildings empty. Think hard BEFORE you move to Jersey City it's corrupt, tainted and their is no justice here!
Don’t come to New Jersey, lived here my whole life, they ruined it even before I was born. Extremely high taxes, housing market is insanely expensive, even renting is insanely expensive, the laws suck and are insanely strict, and the gun laws are beyond ridiculous, don’t come here, I’m leaving for the South in 3 months, can’t wait.

Things to know: Unless you love being taxed or are a raving leftist…don’t move to NJ. I grew up just outside Philly in the suburbs in the 1980-1990s. LOVED my childhood. It has gone completely downhill since. I moved back as an adult to care for a terminal relative and be around family. The public schools have become a joke, crime is up, cost of living and taxes are ridiculous! And I live in a nice, quiet neighborhood. Once my kids graduate (Catholic school), I am leaving.
At least the tax will be less than NYC, I was born in Jersey and feel it's a way better place then nyc in terms of just getting to walk out and not be greeted with the world's loudest stereo system. It may not be the best but that can be said for all the states. No one is going to say " hey come to my state" we're always going to find an issue with the places we live

Lived in New Jersey for over a decade. it's a giant vacuum that will suck the money out and put it towards nothing. Tolls are everywhere and taxes are high. The people are mostly rude too. Looking forward to leaving.
I think that it has changed quite a bit since I lived there (1997). You really had to watch your back in the '90s, especially if you didn't know the youth in the neighborhood. (I didn't know ANYBODY).
