You wouldn't fly in a 1980's bonanza, Saratoga or a late 90's cirrus? 20 years is not that long. I don't know any flight schools locally that have anything as new as 2002. Limiting yourself to something only 20 years old or newer would be pretty rough.
I got fail on my CFII in endorsements area! When I just started to watch this video my thought was: no this is not what I’m looking for. In end of the video I would say it’s exactly what I was needed to know for my checkride!👍
I've never used a 530, but have to take a checkride next week in an airplane with one. This has been a great prep for my first simulator session tomorrow. Funny how valuable an 11 year old video can still be! Thanks :)
Great video! Just passed my CFII Checkride. One question is on #16 you say that a CFII applicant MUST use the recommended hold entry. I read through the PTS and couldn’t find where it said this. Can you point me in the right direction? Thank you
Sir, Your Flight Plan Heading is More Advance And Complicated,l will have to get the Video to watch over and over and over again Before l can Compete Your first Style because l think for the Next and Other l must get the experience First tho. Thanks so much for the Video And hi from Ghana.
That G1000 has some squirrelly effects( this was in a Cessna172). Three or four times now the autopilot was on and a simulation of a strom was entered. Most of the flight went as planned, but flying into a cloud was not a nice thing. Lighting, zero visibility, and the autopilot keep climbing. I took it off autopilot and flew below the cloud. Okay, I thought, maybe I can turn it back on. I did and the crazy thing went into a dive at 1200 feet/m. Turning it back off I regained control of the plane. Looked out the window. I could barely see the airport and manually landed the plane in a rain storm. The pilot killer - if your not extremely careful. I noticed that on the Cirrus vision, and others they have installed a button that levels the plane in case of emergency. I think they know about this problem and have tried to correct it in other aircraft.
I dont get garmin, they made this huge screen and no touch or keyboard, they have screens now 1/8 of this size and it's easier to use, it's like texting 20 years ago.
"It doesn't matter that the 430/530 doesn't display airways"..."Cessna XXX... fly heading 240 and intercept Victor 123". Then it matters. Where is that paper chart again?
I'd suggest taking the Colorado Pilots Association mountain flying program (or a similar program) before considering the route through Denver. 12,500 is not high enough to fly the I70 route safely. I70 goes through a tunnel and the Loveland pass around it is 12,000, so 500 feet above would be very low, there would be no margin for downdrafts. Also it's critical to check the winds at 9000 and 12000. If either is over 25k anywhere in the mountains, the turbulence will be a handful and the downdrafts could cause even high performance aircraft to crash.
I have my masters from Embry Riddle. BTW, your 2 videos on the G1000 are really helpful as I just started a fly sim set up in my home with X plane. Do you have anything on the Airbus 321?
Need help please. When I click on the Flightplan the window shows up but has nothing on it even the airport I’m at. Also I’m unable to input any data on it.
Would it be bad to show up to a cfi checkride with these lesson plans that you sell? Im considering in purchasing these just so i can have a good structure when instructing but i dont want the DPE to think negatively because its not original
