Halloweird was both 1999 and 2000. The first year was higher budget with a fair sized cast/extras. The second year was just a Frankenstein's monster (Scott Yaphe) hosting on a Halloween set. I honestly didn't mind the the events being on Halloween. With a VCR it was just something to look forward to watching later with your candy haul. I'd invite others over to do the same.

@ShutUpAndrew

Did they ever send anything back or did you just get a shout out?
@YoungPacific
@YoungPacific 10 месяцев назад
I got sent some lint back as "return to sender" mail because I kept sending it in for like 2 or 3 years after the whole lint brain thing ran its course. I don't even think Brainwash was even around at this point either. Eventually my mom had to break the news to me and I was just confused because "what do you mean? Lint is for the lint brain". However before that I did receive some cool YTV stickers and postcards but I don't know if that was just common place for writing in, how much lint I was sending in, or because I got a shout out as I never did personally see any of my letters/lint contributions air.

The 24 parody has to be one of,if not my favorite episode. It's a nice way to end the season, and it captures the themes of corner gas very well (small town living, the town being a family to one another, etc)

I didn’t get into Jersey Shore until about three years ago. It was trash, but it was successful because the cast had chemistry and a lot of them were funny. Despite some scripted or overly produced plots, the personalities were very real. I have no doubt that Snooki was being Snooki. Lakeshore on the other hand found the cringiest party people to put on TV. The casting director put little to no thought into how they’d all get along. Instead they wanted alcohol induced race/ethnicity wars to erupt, like a way darker version of Bad Girls Club. Thank god this was axed early.

I haven’t heard much more as of late, in regards to zellers. I grew up with that store, the restaurant was great. Maybe it’s nostalgia, but I honestly would absolutely shop there again.
@lancewilson9347
@lancewilson9347 Год назад
First I was never happy about Zellers leaving in the first place I would even rant about those who were in favour of Zellers leaving I mean let’s face it anyone who’d wish a huge “ICONIC” community pillar of the community a hasty BYE BYE for a new not established company to take over a “HUGE TRADER” and essentially that’s what a majority of Canadians did so I don’t blame HBC If their reluctant. Second I worked for Zellers they treated me like family and I could only hope they would say the same and if I were to anything about Zellers return in anyway I say 2023 is to far away even now that it’s September 3 2022 so PLEASE DON’T WAIT I WANT TO SHOP AT ON OR IN ZELLERS NOW PLEASE
@lancewilson9347
@lancewilson9347 Год назад
The longer we can keep Zellers in business the more of a likely hood they’ll go bring back brick and mortar locations of course they’ll never be the same. Like said before I never wanted Zellers to disappear and to those who wanted Target your “TRAITORS” Zellers was with us through thick and thin and yet people just let them go and accepted that Walmart would fill that void even if Target failed Zellers was always my #1 go to for everything unless they either ran out of what I needed/wanted then it was Walmart #2 go to and now with all the problems Walmart is having especially keeping employees we need Zellers back yes GT a good store but it’s not the same it’s not a giant box store and the don’t carry a lot of what you can get from a giant box store. Zellers has an place in Canada. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-O5GYc0YtmMA.html

HBCs aren't very common in Sask, hope the website's decent. Wouldn't mind just a simple Zellers branded shirt tho. To me, Zellers' most unique feature was its variety of deadstock in the toy and electronic sections. Can't imagine that's too sound a business model these days.

It's quite interesting how YTV originally followed the British model (of having presenters between the shows to provide in-vision continuity) as opposed to the distinct American model as used on early Nickelodeon, where you just had shows and commercials with creative bumpers, idents and shorts separating them (with no in-vision continuity). This established a powerful brand identity for the channel while not showing personalities between the shows. Culturally it makes sense, but I do find it interesting that Nickelodeon had almost a 9-year head start (and used a lot of Canadian/British content originally) on YTV and became successful with their approach, yet YTV went in a more British direction anyway.

I think it's a rerun of a season 3 episode, because none of the commercials are Halloween themed, but the show is; and they're still promoting the 3D0, and the show is a half hour long. So it's probably October of 95 that the actual episode is from, but you're probably right about the broadcast date.
