yea. me and my group of friends started a pit then had a chick freak out. so we didnt mosh until filth in the beaty cuz i was like "fuck this, i payed as much as they did".then that girl freaked out on my friend after the show. then the staff was super strict. my friends tryed to get a shirt signed and aoi picked up a marker an asked what side that she wanted signed. started to sign it then the staff said no... aoi then said sorry then they pushed them out. like a 2 sec meet and greet. they were willing to sign it.. but they made him not do it. it wasnt even there management. so dumb
Mason Adams This reminds me of a similar situation(unrelated to The GazettE). I was at a skating event and one of my favorite skaters told me he would sign an old skate I had. His manager(?) told him not to, but he did anyways, so I was the only person at the event to get his signature.
Whoever started the pit at the NY show last night, fucking thank you. I had the mindset and not-so-sober intention all afternoon to pop my best friend's moshpit cherry. (Or "pit her cherry" as she put it on our way back home.) Me and her were kind of just standing there and she was getting timid so I was all like "Oops!" and pushed her right into the pit and jumped in with her. A week away from finals at college. Totally fucking needed this gig. Just wish they played more of their old stuff! But the energy was FUCKIN' LIIIIIIIIIIIT. Great environment, too. Someone lost their phone in the pit, so everyone stopped and managed to help the girl look for it. Hopefully she found it!
see i knew the new york show was going to be great. people that are true fans of them and not just anime nerds would of been disappointed. cant believe that my favorite band had to deal with that. the funny thing is im not even joking. been a week and still pissed about it. yea im from florida. i bet it would of been better
Saw Babymetal near DC and half the crowd was either wearing anime merch or even cosplaying. Yeah, Babymetal have that sort of sound, but really? My friend saw Dir En Grey in Toronto and had the same kind of experience. I'm so glad I got to see Dir En Grey in Japan this summer. It was a seated show, but at least I didn't have to deal with weebs. Everybody in attendance looked like they were in a modern VK band
I like anime but I would definitely dress vk if I went. Well I try to dress the style anyways, it’s just expensive rn bc I don’t have a job. Vk is my fave fashion style hands down. It’s hard to find vk ppl, all I seem to find are kpop fans or anime nerds who never listened to Japanese music other than anime opening.
well i really hope they do come back. the vips had a great time from where i was. the metal concert ive been to were way more into it. i have 7 friends that went with me that say the same thing. even had a female that tracked my friend down after the show to tell him to say sorry to her girlfriend cuz "he hurt her". WHAT?! if you moved, everyone around you would freak out.i had a blast seeing them sounded great but for THE GAZETTE, we were every weak. ive even seen shows on youtube where english speaking countries, where they were having a blast. so much energy and u could see how ruki and the band were having way more fun. i really do hope im wrong and they do come back.
Man. New York show was amazing. Moshpit during UGLY & Vortex was extreme, it wasn't like a regular jrock show, we actually showed them what a metal show was supposed to look like here. NYC turned it out. Hands down.
yea just saw them in dallas too. they were amazing. but... the crowd and the staff of the venue were terrible. the energy was so bad that when ruki was trying to get the crowd to move and sing back everyone was like zombies. no wonder they had a short set list. would not be surpised if they never come back to dallas. worse metal crowd ever. im so sorry that the gazette had to go through that
+Mason Adams I was there as well and I'm surprised you had such a different experience then me. I thought the crowd did the best they could, and they were incredibly pumped from where I was. Aoi wrote on twitter that he wanted to come back to Dallas, and Ruki wrote a positive message as well, so at least it seems like they had a good time.
+Clumsy Kouhai I got the VIP I let at the Dallas show and they are probably the nicest people I've ever met in my life!! I was crying when I got to meet them but they were just so cool about it and were still really nice and just so sweet, so I think even if you're shy you'd do fine cause all the members of the GazettE are so sweet! :) Go get yourself that meet and greet ticket!! :D
+Clumsy Kouhai oh! Ok lol, my eyes aren't working. XD it was my first concert so the crowd felt super hyped to me, I wonder what concert audiences are normally like then? I think maybe the audience was more calm for the GazettE's show after the band members were saying about how they didn't like folks misbehaving at their shows or taking pictures so I think everyone just wanted to give the band a good impression. :)
