After coming across a NYT article today on memory, I suddenly recalled Lorayne from a 1975 book about super memory. At over 70 now I have this overwhelming need to reread it. If I can find it. Because it worked back then. Anything might help these days. It certainly can't hurt -- like a spanking.

Managed accounts are very profitable kind of investment, but very risky too. Especially, when you invest money in offshore companies and in their PAMM systems. If you want to be confident in your investments, you should find independent fund manager with good statistic (perfectly, if he will give you investor password from his master account) and find reliable STP broker with solid license. It's too bad Dr. Lynn didn't have a chance to discuss his research around how tips correlate more to server ethnicity, gender, age, and other physical characteristics than they do to service quality. The custom of tipping is not only inconvenient and awkward, but discriminatory and outdated, and needs to end. I applaud the dozens of US restaurants that have abandoned tipping in favor of service charges or higher menu prices.

Most of us would recognize that Lorayne was the senior author of "The Memory Book", and Lucas was a sort of color-commentator and publicity figure for that book, but it did the job well, it demonstrated that Lorayne's methods did work, and that Lucas was a successful practitioner of them. But Googling "Jerry Lucas" "basketball" ~120,000 hits "Harry Lorayne" "magic" ~60,000 "Harry Lorayne" "memory" ~60,000 ...shows that Lucas has become the more historically secure of the two as far as the internet is concerned, inasmuch as the twin skills of Lorayne are going to return many overlapping hits.
I think you're right Eric. Harry was really the first guy to teach all the methods people need to dramatically improve their memory. My favorite book of his is "Page-a-Minute Memory."
