fun resort we went in 2022, small convenient, a couple restaurants, great views of the beach from everywhere. 24 hr snack bar is like a cuba snack bar and the disco was really weak when we were there..been told facility went under renovation and now not sure if it's open to the public
Keep well away from this hotel I’m here now Most restaurants are closed the staff are not friendly And the food is not cooked properly we will not be coming back no way. Can’t wait to get home Bye bye Bahia principle will not be staying at any of your hotels again
Its our favorite hotel chain in riviera maya. We have stayed twice at Akumal and stayed May/June 2024 in Coba. There are loads of activities, a la carte restaurants and plenty of bars. Its great to see the wildlife wandering around nearby. The staff are very friendly and the weather is always very hot. We love it
We have stayed at akumal twice and we treat it as our 2nd home. We booked 3 days before departure for Coba at a very good price in May/June 2024. What a bargain, everything and everybody were amazing. We had 7 a la cartes, Mashua Nihhei and Portofinos were our favorites. There is an abundance of food. Highly Recommended. Bahia Principe is the best value hotel chain in the Riviera Maya.

Hi, This a great and accurate video. We have stayed at the hotel 6 times and have always had excellent service from the staff. Someone asked about spiders in the rooms and snakes outside, well I have never seen any spiders but on our second visit a large green snake fell from a tree by the far pool area. The staff very carefully captured it and released it back into the jungle. After all the hotel is in the middle of a jungle and there are bound to be wild animals close by. I am trying to persuade my partner to go back again next year, but whilst she loves this hotel she keeps saying we should try somewhere else! I think we will be back anyway!! Ha ha.
I went to Bahia With family and friends The staff was friendly The manager Mr Nathaneil Nesdeth was very great the entire time even the baby name He remember He was there cartering to our entire needs making sure we were all taken care of Well done Sir Nesdeth and your team much Love and Blessings
I have been there, it is as good as you say, though I was at the Mirage and could go to any of the other resorts. Also if you take the Club package, no extra charge with Sunwing if you book early, you get free green fees at the golf course. I am going again in December and taking my clubs this time.
The food in the buffet is horrible the pork steak is white not well done no flavour and it is hard to chew, when asking for black pepper and salt in the omelet the staff hardly put anything on, all the food don't have no flavour I have to put salsa or chilly sauce to eat it, mexican night caribbean night food is rubbish, they do the same thing for breakfast, lunch and dinner NO FLAVOUR no spice to the meals, to get alittle spice you book the tapanyacki or the fluer restaurant, the night club boring same American music or Mexican no other international music, the outside entertainment boring, the drinks in the buffet watered down no real orange juice no real pineapple juice THIS IS THE CARIBBEAN not happy at all, then at the pools you can't relax with your drink in peace a raccoon will steal your so called cocktails and drink it, the cocktails are icey not real cocktails, some of the staff is ok the rest look racist, some have customer service some don't and this is a 5 star hotel I call it a 1 star hotel and spending so much money here, other caribbean hotels give lobster in dinner buffet for free at this hotel you pay for lobster 🦞 VERY EXPENSIVE for a tiny lobster tail., not expressed it could have been way better, especially the bedrooms. 👎and this is what I pay for. Sorry to say but I am here right now and am not impressed. :-(
You have clips from other resorts in your video. Not a very good review if someone wants to go here and they look for the great entertainment centre and it isn’t what you have shown. This be live resort does not have two separate pools by their entertainment area it is just one large pool. You are showing another resort. Not a great review in my opinion!

I have been to this resort numerous times it is my home away from home. Two to three times a year I swim in the pool at be live and it isn’t the pool you show at 6:38. You have inserted a pool area from another resort. You may not be willing to admit you are wrong but I know it isn’t the pool area at be live!
We have been to the riu Negril several times from the UK the last was when hurricane beryl hit the island but thanks to hotel staff we were all keeped safe the hotel is having a big renvesion over the next few months I don't when you took this video but the swimming pools has now been demolished and all the rooms will look very different also the resepsion and bars are being Facelifted but the beech hopefully will be has beautiful has ever
Grand Sirenis Punta Cana ruined our family vacation. Unfortunately, we experienced virtually all of the negative feedback items mentioned elsewhere, including a dump of a room and major stomach illness from undercooked food. What was infuriating was the staff soliciting positive reviews or, worse, taking your cell phone and leaving positive reviews on the resort from your phone. We were solicited for positive reviews. We heard the same from other guests while at the resort. We were warned not to let staff take your cell phone. Each day, every day there are easily 10 to 15 positive reviews on google for ‘super animation’. The resort staff was very persistent on having my phone at check out to ‘check out through expedia app.’ I absolutely refused to hand over my phone, I never logged out through any app, and nothing happened as a result. Save your money and aggravation … READ AND LISTEN TO THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS! Go somewhere else for your vacation!!!
We came 24th dec to 7th Jan. and we didn’t get the room we paid for 2 tiny double beds for me, my wife and our 13 year old son. Ended up with broken put me up bed for our son. They would not let us eat dinner Christmas Day even in the buffet because we didn’t book. We landed the day before how would we know we had to book for Christmas Day. We explained to the person on reception and he managed to get us in at the buffet. We had bed buds in our room so they moved us near to the lobby. Fire alarms going off every other night at 2 and 3 in the morning. Groups of people fighting in lobby a few times. My wife’s drink got spiked do I need to go on. The only good thing about this hotel was the beach and the show and entertainment they put on New Year’s Eve. We have stayed at Rui hotels around the world and have loved them and that was why we booked here for Christmas. Never again for me I’m afraid. As you said you have been here 5 times so you like it. We have stayed at Rui caribe in Cancun a number of times and loved that. Don’t know if it was just because of Christmas but we will not be going back
Nice video , just one question, I heard that outside sometimes have snakes 🐍 And in the room some spiders 🕷️? Its that true ? It’s very nice hotel but I don’t want to encounter that issue scary

UNSANITARY AND UNHYGIENIC FOOD AND FACILITY WHATEVER YOU NEED TO DO TO AVOID THIS RESORT … JUST DO IT!!! A few days into our stay, we found that only a thin bedsheet separated us from existing uncleaned human body fluid stains from prior guests on the mattress covers on the beds. There is just no coming back from that! No amount of ‘super animation’ fixes that! Additionally …. Black mold was in the grout in our rooms. Black mold was in just about every crevice and corner of the bathroom. Black mold was on the surface of the wallpaper in our rooms. Furniture in our room was damaged and poorly repaired. The rooms needed to be gutted, mold-abated, and entirely renovated. There is an underlying and ever-present sewerage odor in the main buffet buildings. Insects land on tables and food areas. Sometimes birds as well. Food is not maintained at proper temperatures and sits out for long hours. Food was found to be often undercooked and very rare, especially the food at the outdoor barbeques. A member of our group did come down with severe diarrhea that lasted for many days after returning home. The staff solicits positive social media feedback posts during the day. The resort is understaffed. Management is incompetent. The manager-on-duty tried to explain how difficult it is to supply clean bath towels to each room every day. How sad is that! We completed a complaint form and followed up with emails to the manager on duty. We have heard nothing back from the resort. Shame on expedia for listing this as a 5-star resort. This is a very, very bad 3-star resort.
Bring lots of extra strength pepto bismol so you can make it though an entire super duper animation show without running to the restroom. Otherwise, due to the undercooked, poorly prepared, and unsafely maintained food, you will need to run to the restroom and miss out on the super duper animation. If you need to run to the restroom, you can run to the public restrooms on the resort that feel and smell like a sewer line exploded in a sauna. ... or you can run to the toilet in your room that may or may not flush, which is line with the room AC that may or may not work, which matches well with the dirty and moldy décor of your room. Enjoy!
Our rooms were run down and all of AC, fridge, and toilet did not work well. Until we discovered the issue, we were all sleeping on beds with mattress covers with body fluid stains from guests who stayed in room before us. The food is poorly prepared, often undercooked, and not maintained at proper temperature. One of our group came home with salmonella. DO NOT IGNORE THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS! #GrandSirenisPuntaCana we will never go back!
Worst vacation ever! Resort management is very poor at what they do. Bath towels .. just as an example ... are a shortage. We were left with no bath towels multiple days. We would call and message resort and concierge frequently. Always told '20 minutes'. On our last night towels were delivered at 9pm after going to the lobby and complaining for an hour to 3 or 4 different resort people. Rooms are run down, dirty, and moldy. AC does not work well. Toilets clog frequently. Furniture and fixtures are broken. We found all mattress covers soiled with body fluid from whoever stayed in the rooms before us. So gross! Our supposed fold up bed was broken and beat up pieces of what was once a fold up bed. The mattress was not even a fold up mattress. Some restaurants ok. Food at BBQs is too rare. Buffets are smelly and food sits out way too long. Family member ended up needing to be treated with a strong antibiotic due to stomach illness contracted at the resort. Understaffed. Long lines and waits. Pool bar is a crowded mob scene. Public restrooms on the resort feel and smell like a sewer line opened up in a sauna. Do yourself a favor and find a different resort!
Hi, I’m so glad you cleared up some of the very, basically wrong comments. We have stayed at Sian Kaan probably 10 times, so obviously loved it. The rooms could use an update but everything else is lovely. There’s always room by the various pools, entertainment if you want it and the food changes every night. Yes it’s a shuttle ride about 10 min long to get the beach ( Sian Kaan has its own designated area) but we’ve never found it a hardship, besides you meet the coolest people from all over the world!) it’s a quieter resort then the other 3 but that’s its appeal. We can go to the others any time we want. Great video!🇨🇦👏
A big negative to this property is that there is little shade on the beach. The palm trees provide some degree of shade but not much. The maintenance of the seaweed on the beach is minimal also. Next door is the Lopesan, which is much better in almost all aspects like beach, food, pools, service and rooms. Compare both and Lopesan wins easily.
