Near me, is a 156, and I spoke to it’s one lady owner. Same wheels and sunroof as this one. £1000 each when new. Leather was £1000. And the iridescent blue green colour was 3 grand. I am hoping one day she’ll sell it. 50-60k. 2.0 is perhaps the only downside, but not to me at all. I love the TS. Yours was a beauty, how many miles?
Amazing work, I must say! Looks incredible. Wondering where you sourced the flootmats and carpet? Can seem to find any for my own C125 when searching. Maybe you can help? Much appriciated
Bought this car from Mike and it didnt dissapoint, he took time and effort to talk me through it and the vehicle is exaclty as described. Would definitely use his services again. Also, hi Mike, thanks for everything.
The list is enormous! Everything you can think of underneath (everything), loads of interior bits, gearbox rebuild, diff rebuild, all engine gaskets, etc... Please have a look on my Facebook page (scroll way down), it's all there: facebook.com/modern.classics.autos
@@modernclassicsrestorations All the best with those my friend…as I search for my last car (must be auto) both will be out of my bargain basement budget…but I really enjoy watching your video restoration’s… you do very thorough work.
@@modernclassicsrestorations Interesting…!!! Just found your Chanel and subscribed so that’s my entertainment for the evenings sorted for a while. 👍 I’m an older guy with a real interest in cars but no mechanical skills to speak of, so I really appreciate seeing your handiwork and the finished product. Sadly at my age I don’t have the budget to play with…but I particularly love the Rover P5B Coupe and the older Volvo’s 850/940/960 (even the V70 and older S80) I saw your partners VW Touareg for sale and if I could pull the cash together I’d be interested as I’d definitely consider buying from someone as skilled as you. I’m looking for what will probably be my last car. Calculating the cost of the restoration of the work on this particular 960 if I could find anything similar I like (in automatic)at a cheap enough purchase price I’d probably seek you out to work on it for me….what a joy that would be for me after a lifetime of driving basic old bangers. A fella can dream can’t he…😂 Keep up the good work lad and I’ll stay tuned to your Chanel. God bless. 👊🏼🙏
I have a 1992 940 Turbo Sedan. 145K miles. I wish I could afford to do the same kind of make over on my Volvo. The car has lived in California in its entire life, so the body has no rust, but the California sun pretty much stripped the clear coat on the paint.
Wow, just stunning! The older these get, the classier they look! Beautiful, elegant and graceful design, but retaining those dynamic sporty BMW lines at the same time!
Nice job. Owned a P4 in my early 20's (now 71), my petite wife drove it many times and would complain of non-power steering chest pains. We would have loved a P5 with power steering at that time. Loved all of the "bank managers Rolls-Royce" P series.
One of my favourite cars as a kid, mainly due to a guy on my street owning one in dark Grey that I walked passed nearly every day and I would always just look at it, it was just a huge beautiful car. 30 years later, it's become even more desirable, he also owned a white Lotus Europa and a silver BSA Goldstar. to this day, I still consider that the best 3 vehicle collection I have seen.
@@paulbennell3313 I had a P5B Saloon and Coupe years ago when they were affordable loved the V8's,however a friend bought a 3 litre 6 cylinder E reg in black and I was amazed at how quiet it was,you could barely hear the engine just the clock ticking and at traffic lights virtually no engine sound,I was in my 20s back then now closer to triple that age I really appreciate the quieter 6 cylinder models, Best wishes to yourself, family, friends and the uploader of this vid.
£3500. Where are you? I will have a beautiful 1993 Volvo 960 for sale in about two weeks. 3.0 straight six, automatic, smooth as silk and has 7 seats + all the extras possible!
This is my car, now on 214k miles, I’ve been all over the UK in it, absolutely fantastic car. I have rebuilt the turbo as it was tired/smokey, put some volvo ‘galaxy’ wheels on it, and kept it as mint as it is here! A true gem of a 940. Appreciate all the work you put into making it as stunning as it is, it gets complimented daily.
