He would have handled that turn if he wasn't riding the front brake. His brake light is on the whole time. I think he was riding the front brake (which you absolutely should NOT be doing ESPECIALLY in a turn?? lol) and then grabbed more just as he starts to lean. Front Brake locked and down he went. The scrapes start after the tire mark.
They were slowing down for the school bus. No need to crowd it when you can see it’s making a turn on a tight road for its size and could have been held up by another vehicle rolling up and stopping the bus from being able to make the full swing it needed to make the turn. A lot easier and more enjoyable to just slow cruise a ways back till it clears along with a few seconds more to make sure no one who might have been waiting for the bus to clear does not come out and around the corner in front of them. (Seen it happen) Us older riders have been around a while and seen a lot. Learned, some of us the hard way🤪, not to be in such a hurry in spots just like that where you can have traffic coming on to the road from so many different spots. That’s the time to just hold back and enjoy the ride all cool and casual. Save the thrill riding for a more closed road away from traffic where you are less likely to not be seen by an inattentive motorist turning out in front of you and getting way more thrill than you were wanting.😉 Likewise for getting a ticket that can cut into your finances. I’ve been riding for 40 years, a lot of miles on 5 bikes over that time. Only down once from a lady making a left from the curb right in front of me when I was 18. No turn signal, no mirrors on her car… You learn to watch heads, especially, and mirrors, what are their eyes doing, for survival. Lots out there that do not even seem to be watching for other cars to say nothing of motorcycles.
