My channel is devoted to my videos and my interests. I love filming trains and I enjoy projecting videos from the famous Chillicothe Subdivision and the Eldestein Hill.

My home town. That big yellow building with the water tower on top is the former Sheaffer Pen Company building.

That's the Kankakee River, not Des Plaines River.

Very nice video, the Sibley River Bridge is beautiful especially with the surrounding scenery. Thanks for posting. 😊👍

I'm so EXCITED, I just can't hide it. WOW! This video makes me want to go out and purchase a home in Sunny Fort Madison .... NOT! I don't want to live beneath the surface of the water, or join the professional watermelon eating club.

Is this train no. 4? Okay I see.....yes it is.

A bit of a bump as #4 rolls over the twin derailers at 0:18. Whenever the bridge opens for river traffic, the bridge operator sets the derails on both sides.

Just found this video you did! Great idea Trever to share a view from the train. The rear window even looked clean enough to see out. Thanks, brings back the memories of 100s of trips across that bridge.

There is an identical bridge in Sacramento, CA, built in 1910. It crosses the Sacrameto River.

At one time Amtrak’s St. Louis to Chicago Trains ran over that segment of track. They no longer do it because there’s a segment that’ cuts off from the BNSF to the Union Pacific (St Lois-Chicago Line). That segment is no longer signaled.

I was not even aware of this amazing bridge when I rode the Chief during my trip to California. Because westbound train 3 passed through Missouri at night in the dark, and return trip home, this portion was daylight however I was burned out from all the traveling and just was focused on getting home, so I didnt pay much attention to the scenery

I think there are still 2 other single track sections on the southern transcon.

Nice... I took the Southwest Chief #3 from Chicago to Kingman AZ last November and got to cross that bridge in the dark.. Thanks for letting me see what I missed in daylight...

Excellent! Clear, good sunlight, steady camera work. And the power plant smokestack is as impressive as the bridge! Thanks for posting this.
