From members of Mischief Theatre, creators of the Olivier award winning ‘The Play That Goes Wrong’ and the BBC’s ‘Goes Wrong Show; comes this brand new live action role play podcast.
Loosely following the rules of D&D 5e join our players as they take on the roles of four heroes attempting to escape eternal damnation in DnD Hell!
Loved how the dice backed a couple of Happy's dumbest ideas, manifesting them into successes that had to be narrated _somehow_ 🤣 Nice to have those skills challenges in the session, it does allow to create fun creative moments 👍 The pile on Pyra's "musk" cracked me up too 😅
Loving the show! Have you considered using specific cheat sheets for the players as well? My table has done that to great success. Lots to keep track of as a martial. Either way, keep it up!
I've been devestated that I ran out of Goes Wrong episodes to watch. (I still watch them, but I've probably seen each one seven or eight times). Started following Bryony on Instagram and found this through her! I'm so excited. (My wife hates TRPGS, but this might be able to sway her 😂)
Happy is Hilarious, but the constant high-jinks get a bit much after awhile. Im not a fan on railroading, but constantly been thrown off the tracks isn't good either.
I think there is a requirement in the 5e Misty Step spell description, the caster must be able to see the space where he/she wants to Misty step in. This requirement is not mentioned in the DC20 Misty Step spell desctiption yet. So it seems possible if the GM allows it. The Spells overhaul (0.10 Beta) is planned soon after the finishing of the creation of Subclasses (0.9 Beta update). 🙂👍🏻
At 1:48:19 when Greg just looks into the camera while the licking discussion is happening, I have never so deeply resonated with someone else GMing before. It doesn't matter if they're your best friends, the players will always end up doing something that makes you feel exactly how he looks. Love it.
Petitito to make this amazing campaign a weekly thing Btw 38:35 in reactions like raise shield, pary, side step, you can wait untill the Enemy attacks, but you have to say it before the GM tells you what the roll is, (just like spell duels basically) It says that under defensive maneuvers in the pdf (unless they change it in 0.8 or 0.9)
I come to stare at Shields, I stay for the abundant laughs. The discussion surrounding whether or not to peel off a dead creature’s face had me laughing aloud.
I've liked and subscribed, I am currently in preproduction for a DC20 actual play podcast, and am glad to see I'm not the only one....lets hear it for dc20!
Love that checks and magic are streamlined and simplified, and the there are ultra-specific, anal-mathamatical rules for throwing an egg. You can't escape the spirit of DND.
Thanks for the video. I ran my first full party game and I was head in the book looking up things to figure out and learn. It was a very daunting game especially when running the DC20’s intro campaign and for the first combat having to play 4 NPC’s. I am thankful for you guys being able show the ins and outs of running this game and going through the same problems as I am having when running this game. Keep up the good work.
Pub names often changes to humorous nicknames; The white Horse becomes The Dirty Donkey, The White Swan the Mucky Duck. Is The Clumsy Deer simply known as The Oh?
