Huh? I don’t want a 100% single supplement. That’s just paying double. I can get on any ship for that. (Well, except maybe Celebrity, which I’ve heard charges solo travelers more than double. I want 50% or even lower. I managed to get on a Viking cruise with almost a 0% supplement.
I'm going to be on the Windstar Star Breeze in November for 10 days touring the Tuamotu Islands and I'm struggling with the many excursions available. How do I pick the best of them? I can't possibly do them all. (I don't dive but like to snorkel) Where can I find a list of the "Must Do" for each stop?
I see that nobody has replied so I can share with you what my wife and I did in late June of this year on the Dreams of Tahiti Cruise. First of all, I'd like to say that this was our first cruise outside of the huge Princess line ships. The crew is great and they will make you feel very comfortable. They will actually get to know you and you will most likely make friends. The boat is a bit more rocky while traveling than the big ships; but, since the boat repositions at night it wasn't much of a problem. My wife is prone to sea sickness and didn't have issues on this trip. Bring dramamine if you are concerned. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate the food a 7. The entertainment in their small lounge/theater is adequate. You do not need to book excursions for Motu Mahaea (Tahaa) as it is simply its own island paradise. There is good snorkeling off the beach and the current will move you right along. It was one of the best days of our trip. The complimentary celebration festival on Bora Bora is also good and included. On Bora Bora we hooked up with an ATV adventure tour and toured the complete island. I am 71 and my wife is 60 and we had a blast. The tour company picked us up at the tender dock and it was very fun. We had a full day to kill in Tahiti on our last day. We rented an electric car from a car company across from the airport for about $50 US for the day. We toured the entire island seeing all the sights. We also rented a car on Moorea for the day. Its easy to find the sites the tours take you to. Our only other excursion was a snorkel tour booked through Windstar on Huahine. It was a very good tour. The swim platform is dropped from the ship at various stops and you can check out a kayak or other adventures dependent on weather conditions. I had viewed the reef snorkel trips where you drift with the current (the currents are fairly strong in places) but opted not to book it because it was rated strenuous and my wife is not a great swimmer. I spoke with several people who did the excursion and regretted it. Most of the people on the trip were cut by the current pushing them into coral in shallow waters and needed to be bandaged on the way back. With that knowledge, I am glad we did not book that excursion. The entire trip was more expensive than our typical cruise; but, I have absolutely no regrets and highly recommend the experience. I can provide the name of the ATV tour operator and the rental car companies we used if that would be of help to you.
While the ship is beautiful, it seems a little ironic that the most expensive suites at sea also have the least amount of inclusions. Most 7-day itineraries are clocking in around $23k / cabin and the only "perk" is breakfast? Those numbers don't make sense. With just 3-4 other couples, you'd be better off chartering your own vessel.
The Galapagos is one of our top bucket list destinations! You should plan and go! We have some amazing itineraries and exclusive deals for this destination! luxurycruiseconnections.com/destinations/south-america#navbarSupportedContent
We are working on this matter... We are travel advisors and get priority access to these cruise tours (this one for example was in the first sailing ever of the Icon of the Seas!). We can assure you that our travel crafting skills are way more superior than our filming skills 😉.
We agree with you! You could go on more cruises with that budget... Although we recommend selecting a higher budget for a higher level experience. This suite is definitely for those who can afford it while also being able to afford going on more cruise trips.
Believe it or not... It felt very private! The height of the room made it almost impossible for someone on the outside to look inside. And, as you can see in sec 0:55 of the video, the windows were mirrored on the outside. Also, the bedroom located on the first floor has indoor curtains. People can look at you only when you're on one of the sides of this huge balcony. Now, about the noise... Let me tell you that you couldn't hear the noise from outside at all! The window panes seem to cancel the noise pretty well.
Nice but overhyped for sure. 1. There’s hardly any privacy on the balcony and 2. All that money to accommodate 4 ppl and 2 left to sleep on a couch!? Cot!? Sorry anyone who spends that money to have anyone in their party sleep on a couch for 7 days is nuts. 😅
This suite accommodates up to 6 people (check out min 3:00 on this video). It has 2 private bedrooms and you can also add more family members in beds that can be requested by your travel agency. The balcony has a totally private area (with a dining table, on the right side) and an entertainment area (less private) with a hot tub overlooking a pool deck of the ship.
Hello! Thanks! Deck 10 room 293. The location of this suite is really a longed one by any parents with little kids. You can check out other suite tours on the Icon of the Seas in our channel.
I just recently booked a cruise on Holland America through Will Dodson at Luxury Cruise Connections for my parents, Sister/Niece and myself and partner. He Will go that extra mile for you as this is my first cruise for all of us. He went on and explained everything we needed to know to make that dream cruise come true for me and my family.

@@luxurycruiseconnections The cruise was over the top. Viking is a fantastic cruise line. The accommodations were perfect, the food was outstanding and getting to land on the ice and mingle with the penguins was unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. Plus we got to go down twice in a 6 person submarine. We went below the depth where ultraviolet light doesn’t penetrate so everything was white. Orcas, dolphins, humpback whales. Passing through the Drake Passage with 25 ft waves was something I’ll never forget. The ship was so stable I never got seasick. We recently took another cruise with Viking to Australia, New Zealand and Tasmania. It was a larger ship but still wonderful. It wasn’t an adventure like Antarctica but it was more of a city destination. Before we left we were able to buy 2 tickets to the Sydney Opera House to see La Traviata. What an experience to introduce us to Australia. New Zealand was also lovely. So many wineries. We took a trip to visit a gannet colony. Thousands of birds all in one spot all making noise, some strutting around and there were lots of fluffy babies as well. In Tasmania we visited some lovely little villages and a yellow eyed penguin nesting area as well as a geothermal area. We’re not certain where we’ll travel next but wherever we go, it will be wonderful just to explore some place new. Maybe Scandinavia?
@@suegordon6805 Wow that sounds like an amazing experience! We asked our luxury travel advisor Steve Gulko about what your next destination should be and here is his answer: “I highly recommend Tahiti and French Polynesia as a destination, as it is a spectacular, and unforgettable place to visit, especially if you are into fantastic sights and cultural immersion. I call it paradise. You can even swim with sharks! They are docile and not at all dangerous and it is certainly a once-in-a-lifetime experience if you love wildlife. The people are very interesting and friendly as well, in all of my years cruising it is one of my favorite places to go. Viking Ocean Cruises can take you there but also Windstar - I would recommend either as they are top-tier cruise lines, if you need some more guidance feel free to contact me as I would be happy to help!” Stay tuned to our channel for more recommendations and contact Steve directly at steven.gulko@luxurycruiseconnections.com - we wish you all the best on your upcoming adventures!"
Can I be a cruise Line endorser/Booker? I work with Carnival Cruise Line but I want to earn extra income by enticing my guest and also my friends to book a cruise. With your help I want to sell cruises legally and with proper training/orientation I can be part of this booming industry.
with suites only 1% of staterooms being a suite, why not make a tour of staterooms most people can afford??? Why not answer actual questions passengers need to know on arrival day like how to make dinner reservations at the different restaurants since if you have a dining package you cannot make reservations on line. How about a real tour of al spaces and how to access them?
