I have the same tv, no power. Not getting 24v across like you're getting. I am getting 24v from the brick as I was able to test that. Where can I order this particular board?
Ok, I know this is very old now. LOL But... *I have that exact same microscope and I love it! I use it every time I'm in the Lab. I also have had it hung upside down from day one! LOL* Today, I received, from Amazon, a 30mm, circular polarizing lens. I put that on the camera, but it makes almost no difference when turning it. I came across your video and when I saw the 3D glasses, I did the forehead smack thing, because I realized that I have 2 old pairs from an LG 3D TV that I had. I suspect that the glasses you have there are from the cinema, but I don't know if those are different than the ones for 3D TVs. I hope not. But what I didn't realize, is that I'll have to also put the polarizers on the 2 LED lights as well. That now makes sense. I did do a test by turning the 30mm lens against the 3D glasses and it does in fact go from no change, gradually to blocking the light completely. As expected. So, tomorrow, I'll cut out the 3D lens to fit the lights first and if this setup still doesn't work, I'll cut a piece for the camera itself.
I'm glad there's always ways to breath new life into my old devices. I have about 5 old smartphones, 2 of which get regular use but the other 3 are just collecting dust. I was thinking about installing OctoPrint on one of them but now that I see we can use Klipper on it I am most definitely gonna do this intead.
This mentions that it is for ANY 3d printer - isn't there something that installs on the printer itself? I have a FLSUN Q5 that I would like to Klipper - will this work with that printer
Really damn cool! Thanks for this! The apps weren't on the app store anymore but APK pure had them, I now don't have to keep looking for a narrow screen to shove on my FLSun SR! My old HTC m9 is almost exactly the right size for the top portion! Plus, it's a much better screen than most of those little screens and way cheaper than getting a nice little touchscreen!
is there another app other than xserver because xserver is no longer in the google play store, and i tried downloading the apk file 1.20.51 and it didnt work, i tried changing the display from 0,1,2,3 and it still wouldnt work, i tried installing the older version but it just wouldnt install
The 1st Gen pi isn't fast enough to run klipper. Even the 2nd gen isn't really fast enough for modern printers and it might timeout in the middle of a print. You'll need at least a 3rd gen to not have any issues.
bro---this was exactly what I was looking for. I just put Klipper back (tried and gave up once) on a RPI I've had laying around for a couple years and bought one of the 3.5" GPIO screens. It worked fine but I wanted something bigger once I got it running well. I almost bought a new screen when I realized I have some old 10" lenovo tabs sitting around. Got it up and running in no time and stays charged when connected---which I was concerned about.
only problem i have encountered with this setup is when klipper does updates it doesn't have any space left, i think it clogs up some temp directory but i have been unable to clear it so it won't work due to only having 0.1kb free. is a full reinstall the only option?
It doesn't work on raspberry pi4b. I did everything correctly according to the video. The thing is, my raspberry doesn't detect ANY android phone. What should I do?
@@CrimsonRepair *Does yours still work well?* I got mine back in March 2017 and I've never had any problem with it, except that the LEDs burned out. But this wasn't a big deal. I was able to find the replacements for this kit and just soldered them in. I used the kit today and after all these years, everything still works so well. I'd be lost without this microscope as I do a lot of board-level PCB work.
How to force android screen to turn off after specified time without touch ? xServer seems to block the automatic screen off function. Edit: I used app "app off timer" and set "off timer to 10min". "waiting time to 0" for the xserver app. The screen will go back to android homepage after specified time (10m) and waiting additional extra time in android screen settings (15s) Then you can launch the xServer klipperscreen in few tap's (after 0s) again if needed.
How do you find the returned printers. All I see on Amazon are new. I seen people mentioning pallets but I'm not trying to do that. Do I get them on ebay?
If the Dell you chose uses a 19.5v power supply instead of a 12v or 5v, the only way to unthrottle the CPU is to either run Windows and use the ThrottleStop app, or to use the correct power supply if you're running Linux. As far as I know, nobody had made a ThrottleStop alternative for Linux that works with the Dell systems.
@@CrimsonRepair oh that sucks. I've seen these kind of problems since 8 or 10 years ago. I'm surprised no electronics engineer have bypassed this. One of the reasons why I avoid dell. Their used units sells for cheap though so I buy them 😅 🤣🤣
I followed everything to the letter except my script is named sample-android.adb. I have a newer device and I can’t figure out where your process ends for the older devices. My Android screen was easy to set. I know the problem is in the putty set up.
Newest version of the Xserver app might not be compatible with older Android devices. I had to go back to version 1.20.41 via APK install, to get my OnePlus X with V6.0.1 up and running KlipperScreen
Thank you very much, great video and after seeing this, I actually thought of a very old Android tablet I had somewhere lying around and hoping it would be 4.x.x and it was! The steps you showed were exactly right, very accurate. So right now this totally obsolete el cheapo tablet is working perfectly as my Klipperscreen. Thanks again for making this video!
Hello sir, im totally newbie in klipper, and i successful in this tutorial. But my proble is i can't connect to the printer and saying restart firmware
bellissima guida. ho usato per parecchi mesi il cellullare ma adesso vorrei mettere un display con klipper screen, devo modificare qualcosa visto che non riesco a collegare il display?
Great tutorial! I was a bit disappointed initially because it didn't work at first, but eventually i managed to get it working. Im a complete novice with Linux, but i had a old dell laptop colecting dust and few android phones taking up space in my drawer and i thought its a brilliant idea to give them a purpose. I managed to install linux on a third try and somehow was able to get Klipper to install and work, but then i was getting a "no such file or directory found" when trying to launch Klipper screen on the terminal. Spending half a day browsing forums and looking for solutions came across something called Tailscale, a VPN service tha establishes end to end connection of devices on the same network. But that too was a bit too complicated for my skill level. Eventually i figured out the very basic navigation in Linux terminal and finally the Klipper screen was alive on my phone. I don't want to mess with removing the battery from my phone so i opted for the wifi option. I was pretty chuffed with myself when i was able to update the script and it was working ( before it was showing up empty). Also as someone mentioned it's not possible to find the autostart qpp from the play store, but i guess its not really necessary.
$47? You'd be out that or more after buying just the stepper motors and power supply, not to mention the board and screen. It's worth it to not only fix but also if you want to scrap it for a new build. I bought a broken Tina 2 S and I'm completely overhauling it, (new board, hotend, extruder etc) the electronics I'll salvage to make a 2nd PET pultrusion machine.
