The toenails bit definitely but for different reasons. Another one is family members not allowed to travel in opposite directions on the same day. Don't know why it's considered bad luck but it's strictly followed by everyone i know, including us. Most of the other ones i know are hunting related, for eg, if you get separated or lost from your group while hunting, do not call/shout out names. Apparently the reasoning behind that is you might get a response but it won't be from the group of people you got separated from.
