A little info on the measurements around the grill would help as well the size of your grill but really like what you did and your friends are a trip!!!
I wonder if it would compromise the strength too much if you took a 1-1/2” spade bit and drilled holes every 3 inches or so on the 2x4 frame to save weight.
The forces in the hanging chairs are tending to tip the supports structure in a direction they aren't braced for... they look like 6" posts and if they're down far enough, shouldn't be a problem.
Your the best I’m so glad that you put up your measurements not a lot of people do that I think you’ll get more people to subscribe that way love the table by the way .
think that looks great especially in jeans... project also looks amazing, beside the floor, instead would do something solid which can not mix with the grass, thanks
She’s a keeper! Nice work. I do agree you should re-bolt those hanging chairs with through bolts that have a nut and washers at the top. Looks very nice.
This is so fantastic and inspiring! Now that you have finished and have had time to use the pergola and swings, would you say that it is quite sturdy or would you have done anything different? I’m questioning using your design to make one in my yard but I was wondering if 4x4 are sturdy enough or should I use 6x6 posts instead. Experienced builders please feel free to comment.
I'm going to make one too for around my fire pit. I plan on using 6x6 I'm a bigger guy for 1. Also, I only want to build it once. I would go with the bigger ones if you can.
