I saw the first version of this in '95 ;- ) my first time at Red Rocks for a concert after YEARs of seeing everyone play there and dreaming of seeing a live show there. FINALLY! went with my best friends, who'd recently moved to Colorado, & I was looking at making the same move....it didn't happen, but I'll never forget that night, that venue, that show and that performance everything was .....Magical.
@RaptorV1USA...Yes, Red Rocks is great. Lived in Colorado all my life until the last couple of years. Many, many RR concerts. Natural good acoustics. And most of the time June/July/August----JUST GREAT OUTDOOR WEATHER!! Quincy Jones, The Carpenters, THE MIDNIGHT SPECIAL, Chuck Mangione, many Regge on the Rocks festivals, etc.
I was at this show shwasted and I remember starting a hoedown with some random girls by us. Lmao my boss was in a pile of his own puke laid out on the grass and my buddies eyes were WIDE open tripping. Only memory is of swinging around laughing seeing this crazy scene around me. Good Times. Little known fact Coflin passed out after this solo, died and sold his soul to the devil so he could return to Earth and keep playing ;)
Unbelievable. The only one i’ve heard that comes even close is Live Trax Vol. 6 with a stunning Béla Fleck Banjo solo. Absolutely adore this song. Keep the dum... dum... dum... dum, dum, dum (can’t think how else to describe it. Leave me alone, I’m tired!) going in the background and there are so many possibilities with different solos in the foreground. It’s a song made for jamming. Going to see them for the first time in London in 2 weeks time and honestly if they just played this song and extended the jam bit out to 2+ hours I’d be happy!
Totally agree. Butch was amazing. Its different than Buddy. Butch is like Roi. Buddy and Jeff are great but the sound of Roi and butch are something different
