Hello fellow youtubers. I am a sports fanatic with lots of vintage footage of classic games, sports videos and some of my own personally made highlight reels put together over the years as well as some occasional personal commentary, which I hope to be doing more of.
I also have a love of old school video games and some other assorted stuff, which I may surprise you by uploading every once in a blue moon, although I will mostly focus on sporting events. I love the Yankees, the Knicks, the Giants and yes, hockey I'm undecided, I've offended many New York sensibilities in rooting at times for both the Islanders and Rangers. When pushed, I get excited for the Islanders more, but I've never been able to disavow the Rangers either. Anyway, hope everyone enjoys, and if you wish to throw a donation my way for my content, feel free. If not I won't hold it against you. Have fun.
By the way, Bob Uecker portrayed Harry Doyle in the Major League film series about the fictional version of the Cleveland Indians (Guardians). “Jussst a bit outside.”
Gambit: forget it Gambit is not gonna go! 😠 Rogue: (glares at him) 👿 Gambit: ok fine! Gambit’s gonna go! Enough with de eyes woman! 😒 Me: 🤣🤦🏼 Gambit will do ANYTHING for Rogue ❤️
I have that 1997 World Series highlight reel on VHS. My hometown Florida/Miami Marlins. They were the Miracle Marlins of 1997 and beating the Cleveland Indians (Guardians) in seven games. And then, there was the Macho Marlins of 2003 and they beat the New York Yankees four games to two. I was a Chicago Cubs fan by birth before I became a Florida/Miami Marlins fan by choice because it’s my hometown Marlins.
Seems like FOUR professional teams came from the New York City area: the NY Mets, the NY Yankees, the Brooklyn Dodgers (now known as the LA Dodgers) and the NY Gothams (now known as the SF Giants).
My Dad was good friends with Butch Komives.....that trade made the Knicks run. Howard Komives was a tough ball player...lead the Nation in Scoring at Bowling Green playing with Nate Thurmond, but he wasn't Walt Frazier * my old man also played with Red Holzman at Rochester
...my late brother, Tim and I went to Banner Day in August of '69...the Mets lost the first game of that double-header (remember THOSE???) against the Astros (yeah - when they were in the NL) but won the second - and THAT was the beginning of their nine game (club record) winning streak - along with the nine game losing streak that the Cubbies (and their fans) endured....putting the Mets in first place - or close to first place in the Eastern Division of the NL - 1969 was the very first year of divisional ply in MLB
44:41 It's funny hearing Rickey bring up that Pittsburgh said that Cincinnati got all of the breaks. Champions make their own breaks and you can tell thought that as well with the "must be their year" comment
This worlld series happened before I was born, (I was born January 3rd, 2003,) but I'm a lifelong Yankees fan, this was a great documentary, go Yankees !!!🗽🚉
Liberty out of timeouts.. 2.4 seconds left on the clock… 3 dribbles and a heave from just before half court.. Legendary, a moment we will never forget. Also, that Houston Comet franchise is all time in any sport as far as dominant franchises go!
