New Straitsville, Ohio we’re you guys stayed at was one’s the moonshine capital of Ohio back in prohibition times I could go on and on about are area ! And if wondering how I stumbled upon your videos is because I am looking to get a Kawasaki 140 RF And one of your videos, happened to pop up
I live right beside Wayne national forest, grate trail system, definitely recommend to everyone to check out Wayne and old man caves in hocking hill here to in Ohio !
I’m surprised you’re not getting robbed out there. Everybody knows you can’t have a gun and State Park and even if you do have a gun and you use it to defend yourself, you will be charged with manslaughter because you were not legally allowed to possess it there.
I’m going to Wayne’s Hanging Rock trails for the first time. I’m not inexperienced, but I’m also just not well versed in state parks and such. Only have been riding in private property. The videos on my channel prove it. Any tips or good scenic views I should hit up?
I think back about racing enduro(79’85’)sitting on a muddy, rocky, rutted hillside in the driving rain and 40* and wish I was half that tough now. We raced all over this area here and SE Oh., sorry to ramble, this vid reminded me of those great times. If you need relaxation therapy, I highly recommend getting a bike and going trail riding there’s nothing better. 🐾✌️🇺🇸
Nothing out here is difficult. Your words. I'm supposed to come down there in July. If nothing is challenging, then I'm probably not going to haul my 4x4 utility atv's down. Just hike and kayaking. Been watching videos on atv riding and have to say, pretty boring.
The 50" inch trails in Ohio, are like 6' in Michigan, the 50" trails in Michigan are 50"" or less. I scrape fenders on a 4x4 utility quad getting through tress sometimes.
I'm heading that way in late July, but other than the hills you went up, I just don't see these trails as much challenging than the one's I have in Michigan. Pretty boring. Not sure if I even want to trailer our 4x4 utility atv's down.? Rode the northern trail systems at the Hatfield and McCoy trails in WV, August of 2022, now there's a challenging trail system. Guess I'm spoiled after that.! Their easy trails are, like difficult trails in Michigan.
There is another place called The thomaston dam also in CT it’s on the western side of the state so probably over a hour closer to you than the state forest. Not as big as it’s only a few hundred acres and it’s geared more towards hard single track there is only one road type trail down the middle of it but a dual sport will have no problem in 90% of the trails! They have the hard ones marked as expert so you know. I’m lucky enough to live 20 minutes from it so I do alot of my woods training there.
Thanks for the video. CT DEM/state police said that this is about the only place you can legally ride In CT and wanted to check it out.. and they said there are no plans to make more legal riding trails anytime soon
There is one other, the Thomaston dam on the Eastern side of CT! Have to be registered but not road registered an off-road plate is fine. The thomastom dam is definitely more hard single track and straight up woods bike only friendly but can rip a dual sport in there no problem! It’s not as big as this but there is a few hundred acres of riding
For Reference if you go to the mount Misery Overlook and go behind the yellow gate there it is the Hardest Trail I have ever ridden. Took me about 3 Hours.
hey Jacob im a little late but im loving your videos on the 140 and have just got a new 140 myself and am doing the tusk kit and polisport headlight. could you possibly link the videos explaining better how the wiring is done if if u maybe care to make one. or if there's any way I could contact u directly on how to do it. hope this finds u
I'm a 19 year old boy. Do I have to have a license to drive my motorcycle here? Is it a free place? I have many questions about this, could you please answer me?
Great video. I have to ask though (as I haven't pulled the horn off mine yet), if you have removed the grommet, Woikd that have allowed you to use the original mounting bar? You'd probably have to use a larger washer (if the grommet was large) though.
i hate that i was born in the wrong era. i hit a clay spot just like that coming back from the new straitsville loop right before you come out of the woods to the playground hills, and did a full 360 and rode out clean. the kid behind me crashed around the corner, the guy in front of me was just stuck in the goop around the next corner. coolest, most terrifying thing i ever did on a dirt bike and i had no go pro and no witnesses. i was just weightless and instantly in a circle.
You sound like a responsible guy. When you get to Pachaug, brace yourself for the carnage that ATV’s have done some of the 2-track woods roads. That damage has pissed off a lot of people. Me included. Fwiw, I ride motors and bicycles on these trails. The KLR crowd aren’t ever a problem, it’s the old 2-stroke Mx bikes with track tires and the Moro news on ATV’s. P,ease be mindful of cyclists and hikers and horses. These are multiple use trails. Be safe. Have fun.
my wife and i are from the area if you want someone to ride with. we have similar bikes. the trails by the ponds and streams have a great view good spot to stop and eat / fish. gota check out the view from the mountain in the fall too.
Thank you Great helpful video. Just about to install the Denali Mini on my Triumph 850 Sport (similar to 900 GT Pro) because of ease of fitment. I had the Larger Denali Sound Bomb on my last bike which was good but more complicated needing a relay. More than happy to use the Mini sound Bomb as this a lot more acceptable and not a strident as the OE horn. Thanks great video.
