Even simpler...DEF never should have been invented... Kills hp and performance.. Not to mention the motor... Does absolutely NOTHING for the environment
Technically, was it still in the transmission? Good thing you saved him with tons of money, but at the end of the day so manufacturer chose to use plastic balls that could expand in their .. transmission
@@midnight3985 Have they always been made of plastic? I'm not trying to be a jerk, I'm genuinely curious. My husband is a mechanic but hasn't worked in it professionally in like a decade so I like to learn stuff about what hes into. Hes put off by a lot of the newer engines so I'm wondering if it's a newer thing that they're plastic as I feel like I've heard about them before but weren't plastic.
@@SwedePotato314 They've been plastic since the 1990s, nothing to worry about as these balls act basically as a one way valve and generally don't fail. The PCB looking thing he's holding is the valve control spacer plate that is part of the valve control bodies that basically tells the transmission when to open channels to allow fluid through to change gears.
dang where i work the advisors just get mad when they can't upsell anything because it wasn't put in line and that we should have asked them what it was
