@@jhilmil1401 yes the contribution is counted as used as soon you transfer it to your FHSA account. This will be tax deductible now. Whether you invest it or let it sit in the FHSA account is irrelevant.
@@rohanrath the title is not very attractive/clickable, the font also not contrasting with the bg and also the bg is very pale, try looking at other people's thumbnails in the same niche and also try to write titles which will help you get a better CTR
I really appreciate you taking the time to give ideas and feedback. I love Ali Abdaal's content too and that's the kind of quality I hope to achieve one day!
I'm thoroughly inspired by this video! Subscribed for more inspiration! - "Embrace your aspirations with unwavering determination and unwavering resolve."
That depends on which ETF you hold and in which registered account. RRSP doesn't carry the 15% tax. TFSA, FHSA and trading accounts will be taxed. If you hold VFV, in all accounts it'll be taxed before you even see the dividends appear in your account. Please ask more questions if needed. Sorry for the delayed response 😊
I've thought about something on those lines however I'm trying to keep my focus on RU-vid for now. The goal would be to build a community so that we can come together in various cities and talk about money, investing and more!!
Money and emotions - due diligence is necessary for any investments. As a late starter, I spent two years learning before I felt confident in understanding how to research and make my own assessments. You’re right about media influence.
I always thought I'd make videos about that but the majority of my free time in life goes to personal finance and investing now. It makes sense to make videos in this genre.

$VOO or any US dividend-paying stocks within the RRSP are not subject to withholding taxes. $VFV holds back 15% tax irrespective of where you hold it. However, another thing to consider is the currency conversion rate and fees that would play a role in buying $VOO since it's denominated in USD. I hold $VFV everywhere for simplicity reasons.
Am wondering despite high quality content, why very less subscribers and views? Keep up the good work! one day this channel also will have millions of subscribers. Best wishes!
Thank you for the kind comment. It's been quite a struggle growing the channel but I will continue making videos. I refuse to do clickbait content and hype stocks - those get the most views/subs in the finance genre of RU-vid. I'm glad you're watching 🙏🏽🙏🏽
Great lessons! I like the way you’ve incorporated these lessons as part of the earnings. Really insightful and definitely important points to keep in mind as an investor.
The key to broad prosperity is a middle class and progressive taxation, which is the greatest innovation that came from the Western world, but it requires massive investment from governments, which unfortunately was substantially reduced due to the policies that stemmed from supply side economics and its failed trickle down strategy that actually bleeds the bottom in order to sustain growth at the top draining broad prosperity.
I have invested substantion amount indian smallcap which gave me 35% in last one year. I have reedem it and now want to invest in NASDAQ 100 or MSCI WORLD INDEX for 25 yrs. Can I except at leat 12% cagr ?
My personal view is that the next decade or two is going to be amazing for India and Indian markets. Even looking at the historical performance, it looks like 12% CAGR is realistic. Of course, future is never guaranteed, but looks like a good strategy. :) PS: Not financial advice.
Thank you!! I record using my Phone (Pixel 7 Pro). I have a camera but a phone is much faster and easier to work with. For editing , I use CapCut; a simple tool with a bunch of features. It's perfect for basic editing. Other than that, I use Canva to create assets and get any stock videos/photos.
Hi Rohan, learned so much about Finances in Canada from your videos. Great work!! I am from India as well as have finance background too. Really appreciate your efforts.!
I'm really happy to hear that. I've definitely had some challenges finding my audience but a comment like yours really helps!! 🫡 When did you move to Canada?
@@rohanrath I moved recently in October 2023. Keep up the good work. I have heard it takes around 100 videos to hit that 1000 subs mark!! Then it goes exponentially faster.
