you’re right! tbh sonic can be really cool and Sonix is super fun to watch when he decides to play the game. And as for steve and gnw i do think that they can absolutely be cool but since they’re so good and their strengths are so high and so easy to execute they just end up looking lame to me sometimes. Still, miya and maister have some crazy gnws and acola and onin COOK with steve. I mainly poke fun at online warriors but i respect top level players for finding their own ways to play these characters
Damn was really hoping you’d mention the Strat of putting the tree a perfect distance from the ledge so that you gan get a huge jab lock by getting pushed backwards into the tree
For the snake tech that was mentioned. The reason snake players don’t do it is the following. 2 second setup time, is the same as canceled side b during hitstun. That’s it
Lucario can ledge trump 100% of the time by first holding up-b from the battlefield platform to there ledge then steering downwards for the rest of the flight
Terry has a useful tech called Coil which lets you store the charge for his input up b I know riddles made a video explaining it a while ago. Also you can do buster wolf with a side taunt input which isn’t really tech but I think it’s funny
yoo!! I looked into this, it looks really cool and super useful but I'm thinking it might be a little too relevant :(( decided to check out crack shoot loops instead. hope that does justice to the Terry community
Great video! For pika, I think double up zip (aka quick attack upwards twice) is a jumpscare to people who are not aware Looking forward to your next vid🫡
For Byleth I recommend covering a super underrated and underepresented kill option on most of the cast- its down throw idj irar bair in the corner at specific percents!
for Meta Knight, some potential tech: Condor Dive Swag Fail Sewer Slide Onibi Drop (top 4 are drill rush techs) Forbidden Reset Just MKs combo game in general tbh Tap Jump stuff probably more MK is such a silly character
@@aann honestly my Sora journey is a bit more recent, so I'm barely starting to tackle stuff like looping, even if I started off and I'm still doing a simple version of loops, but later I'll get to the more complicated stuff. As a result, I don't have that much insight on the character, but what I do have is a link to the Sora discord server. If you want, I can send it to you.
yeah, I mean yea maybe the best joker in the world does it a lot, but when I say "I don't see x players do a thing a lot" I mean like, the vast majority of players, who maybe don't compete or compete at a low level
Great vid! As a Marth main, here's a couple of interesting things to cover for him and Lucina. You could cover their no impact land tech where you do a rising nair at the edge of the stage, drift offstage just a little and then hold in while holding jump. They land back on stage rather than grabbing the ledge and are instantly actionable. Or you could cover their dancing blade 1 recovery aid (using DB 1 at the apex of your double jump actually pushes you up a bit and lets you recover from deeper offstage as well as letting you stall a bit). Finally, for Marth specifically, you could cover stutter-step Smash attacks (they work better the higher your stick sensitivity setting in controls). Allows for tiny adjustments to get tippers more often. Edit* Lol, didn't realize you were a Lucina main. You probably know all this stuff already 😅
yoo! glad you enjoyed the video :)) Yea I main Lucina lolol and I did consider the n-air from ledge thing, but I ended up choosing an original tech for this next part. I'll totally look into the Marth stuff you sent me though! <33
I want a low tiers video, they have the most absurd techs and since they aren't the most viable option for competitive they aren't that common to see (unless you are DK)
pleeeeeease try and find minimum height ptooey bro. I’ve seen a japanese plant do it and I have no idea how it works or why he gets the swallowing animation from it look at Esam’s recent video talking about a plant making a major top 8, that’s where I found it
peach also has a really cool alby pretty useless tech, where you can slide a pretty good distance while in side b's landing lag. The way to do it is ground float => release jump => siede b. Its pretty tight but very funny.
very good video idea, very well made video :)) for sheik, boosted vanish and runoff ledge vanish are both cool and practical but I'd look into her footstool tech. WebbJP has a comprehensive and not too long video on his RU-vid detailing all of it, many good picks from there
for duck hunt we can "drop" our fsmash hitbox on the ground and reactivate it anytime we want by pressing A (we can activate it from the other side of the screen no problemo). it only can be done against hero tho lmao
Incin tech: you can do down throw short hop fair with a well timed fast fall, which can lead to up to 3 grabs on the heaviest guys and the 2nd grab works on everything, that does not have a frame 1 (or 2 not sure) escape option (some characters are grounded, some still airborne, most are grounded on regrab tho), but pretty much only works on 0% dmg
I've got tech for pit and wolf For wolf; shine is a combo tool. Like, a really good combo tool. Fair - shine - bair kills around 40 or 50 depending on the character. But there's also other things. Like nair - dash attack - shine - bair. That kills at 30-40 but is pretty position dependant. For pit; this is smth I discovered that I can guarantee no one else has ever done. dair is a combo tool. Obviously. But wanna know smth messed up? Rar dair into bair. It's also true. And it can kill at 70. But it will never be hit in tournament, which is pretty sad.
oh I'll DEFINITELYYY use your shine suggestion. I love wolf, super fun to play, will gladly learn new ways to style on ppl with him. And I'll check out your pit tech when it's his turn for sure :))
What would you possibly do for Rosa? Hmmm Lunar landing is pretty important, just auto cancel an aerial and watch Luma do it while you’re free to do whatever. Allows for sneaky combo starters and tech chases, including confirming into grab at any percent 0-999 on hit AND on block, confirming into smash attacks, and increasing your effective range (good to clank with projectiles too). But that’s the most basic Rosa tech there is beside just pressing neutral B, so maybe not Her most important techs all come from attack canceling, which is a universal tech, but especially good with her due to Luma not cancelling. Dash attack cancel nair is one of Rosa’s best combo starters and although it’s actually really commonly seen by high and mid level Rosas alike, people don’t really know about it too well. But there’s also down tilt cancel fair, up tilt cancel nair, etc etc Rosa players can go a step further to do a Lunar Dash by cancelling the cancelled moved into an airdodge down. Dash attack cancel nair cancel wave dash is also pretty commonly seen to setup ledgetraps and kill confirm, as well as just to reposition luma. Canceling tilts with wave dash is good to beat projectile characters cuz Luma can clank while Rosa is actionable. The wilksy boost (iirc) comes out of a lunar dash ftilt and causes luma to float unusually forward as long as Rosa is buffering attacks. It looks subtle, but the range increase from this on nair is great. More obscure less practical techs include twerk locking, in which you set luma up to do a rabid jab while Rosa is actionable and if you manage to catch your opponent into the jabs you can bodyblock them to keep them from getting out.
For min min, she really doesn't have many tech, but I'll list as many as I can think of. Up B cancel - you can cancel an aerial smash into an up B. This even applies to landing with a smash attack, then doung a grounded up B (which has i frames). My favorite application of this is a ProtoBanham ledge option (drop dound > double jump > aerial dragon f smash > grounded up B cancel) AB smash - idk if you can really call this a tech, but AB smash let's you do both ARMS as smashes faster than any other method. Tether cancels - yeah Up air - again, hardly counts as a tech, but up air is her safest move on shield and starts some of her best combos. Up air > rr nair > up air > rr nair > rr tilt > dragon f smash > laser Nair on ledge hang - you can hit someone with the back hit of a nair on someone hanging from ledge to cause a stage spike. With power dragon (grab buff) nair becomes untechable at like 110. Aerial smash boost - most likely her most useful "tech". Using a smash in the air gives you a little hop, which is good for landing or recovery mixups. This can be canceled with fast fall. D smash oos - again, hardly counts, but with her grab being so slow, d smash as an oos punish is pretty good. Quick swap - there is a way to switch ARMS (down B) during any grounded normal. Idk the inputs, but it's pretty cool. Wange - walking ARM change - credit to WhyDo Dair autocancel - if you do a full charge grounded up B, then a double jump and dair at the peak of the jump, dair will autocancel. Idk if I know any more.
For when you get to byleth, there's something that i discovered. Im not sure if this has been shown before or not, but Byleth can 0td any character, not just DK. If you're on a platform and youre on the left of your opponent (maybe right side works too, i haven't tested)you do up throw then up b, next you want to hold your jump button and drift towards your opponent and input a nair, careful not the get back air. After the nair you want to do up b again then side b. Feel free to lab it. It's super fun!
