Wrong. Apparently this guy has never heard of overlap or the central nervous system. Even if you don’t train chest directly, you’ll still get some overlap if you train other muscle groups, especially on triceps and shoulders. Meaning that you’d have offset the recovery process, meaning no growth. Also it’s impossible to train everyday at a high enough intensity. If you train too much or too intense, your body will start to break down muscle tissue. This is known as muscle catabolism, or “overtraining” as most know it. So yes, always take multiple rest days if you want to grow muscle.
Hi and thanks for the comment. I agree with you on everything, except that I haven’t heard of overlap or the central nervous system. There’s one caveat to what you’re saying. You’re assuming a high enough intensity, and it seems that you’re assuming training weights every day. I’m not sure you watched the full video and may have just gotten triggered after the first 10 seconds. To clarify what I’m saying for you, you can train every day as long as you’re giving yourself enough recovery and that can come through periodizing your specific mesos and changing the intensities (deloads and lighter days for example). Also everyday doesn’t have to be weights and shouldn’t. I’m assuming the viewer is well-rounded and adds in some Zone 2 and other easier training methods. On top of this, I also state that you still prob should have rest days even if you technically don’t need them. I hope this clears it up for you. Thanks again for engaging with the content!
Steve Reeves is a true legend. I started, this year, training like him, doing 3 full body workouts, and my physique got bigger, fuller . Full body workouts are the way to go if you're natty! BB from Silver Era knew the truth
You don't loose strenght so quickly, once gained you could maintain it lifting heavy in the gym and doing all sorts of dynamic strenght exercises from calisthenics and olympic weightlifting to sprinting etc. without having to do them too often. Also you keep most of the strenght you have gained for life as long as you are not completely slacking off
Toji physique looks like someone in their 30s with low fat percentage and works often to maintain his form while garou's physique looks like a teenager russian who works out everyday brutally
