I guess that'd work out well! (I usually start out, with a simple overhand knot, as, I typically work with 3/4 of a fathom of thread)... I've been FINISHING my stitching, by using the knot you show!

While the process for untying the Figure-Eight Knot is generally the same regardless of whether a load has been placed on it, untying a loaded Figure-Eight Bend can be trickier. Here are some tips: Identify the two loops of the knot: These are the large circles created by the rope in the Figure-Eight Bend. Gently loosen the knot: Before pulling on the loops, try working the knot back and forth by hand to loosen it slightly. This can help reduce friction and make it easier to untie. Pinch one loop in each hand: Grip the loops firmly, but avoid squeezing too tightly, which can jam the knot. Pull on the loops slowly and steadily: Don't jerk the rope, as this can make the knot tighter. Instead, apply gentle, even pressure in opposite directions. Work the knot loose: If the knot won't budge, try working one loop at a time, by pulling it up and down, or side to side, while holding the other loop steady. If you find the knot is still difficult to untie, you can try using a lubricant like soap or petroleum jelly on the rope to reduce friction. As a last resort, you may need to cut the rope.
