Good video,i still have my outrider and slave one from SOTE, never took them out of the boxes as well as the figures, the outrider does appear in a blink and you'll miss it scene in the 1997special edition of "A NEW HOPE" blasting off from mos eisley spaceport
I remember when I saw this as a kid. I did not like what they did to the Outrider, it did not feel authentic to the book and game. I was a big fan of Dash Rendar, too bad he is no longer cannon. I am glad they brought him back in the Star Wars X Wing miniature game. Which is too, not cannon. You would think, back in the day Shadows of the Empire was a big thing back in the day. I saw some people mod this ship to make it look more authentic to the YT-2400.
Wicked, thanks. Also super appreciate the TLDR in the description as I'm coming back to the vid again and it saved me from watching through the in depth for a recap on my objectives.
Fantastic video, Electric Football Hero. Looking forward to your next upload! I smashed the thumbs up button on your content. Keep up the outstanding work. The detailed examination of the Gunners Station playset is really insightful. Have you considered how the design of these playsets reflects the evolving trends in toy marketing during the late 90s, especially in relation to the nostalgia factor for collectors today?
Wow. I had one of these as a kid. Nostalgia felt like a punch in the gut seeing this spindly-limbed hunk of plastic again. Thanks for the Memory Lane trip!
Good question! I filmed this review around 8 months ago, and at this point the cockpits are all packed away, so I can't recall if that part had any give to it or not. I suspect not, because I think if it had I would have done exactly what you've suggested.
I’m glad someone finally spoke up about the price gouging! U are right on. I plan on getting that same set!! Maybe it will be in stock around the holidays!!
I only briefly touched on this at the very end, but it bears repeating: BEWARE OF AWFUL ADVICE IN FACEBOOK GROUPS. Even as I type this, there are a bunch of stupid old men on Facebook advising a newbie to go out and spend a fortune on stuff absolutely no one needs when starting out. Please don't let those idiots bankrupt you, and please exercise caution and common sense. Slot car enthusiasts absolutely love to overcomplicate everything, and they simply cannot read well enough to even comprehend your questions, much less answer them correctly. It's not even a question of language barriers, they're just plain stupid.
These are much, much larger than electric football figurines. However, I did craft some custom bases a few years ago and made it work, but I wouldn't recommend it. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-tsB5NcMxrUU.html
I've learned a lot more about this car since filming this review. It was driven by Austrian racer Lucas Auer in 2018. The "I heart hunting horn" badge appears on all DTM cars, signifying Deutsche Post, which is Germany's version of DHL shipping. DTM is a German racing circuit with timed races (approx 1 hour), one mandatory pit stop, and a certain number of uses of something called DRS, which I believe is pushing a button to cause the spoiler wing to reduce drag and increase speed for short periods of time. The races are fun to watch and very competitive (and also apparently far fewer crashes than GT, Formula 1, Nascar, etc). Check out the DTM RU-vid channel for more details and full races!
Nice review, I have to admit that the Vanguard is a solid vehicle. The very few cons it has is not enough to keep me from buying it. I like that you got in really close to show the detail that some reviews and critics claim are not there in the Vanguard.
And to the dozen or so Pisstank neckbeards who subscribe to my channel for the sole purpose of immediately downvoting any Action Force videos I upload............suck it long, and suck it hard. 😁
Wow that's a thing? Awesome video awesome vehicle. Once idiots stop trying to compare the vamp to it.l, they will see the value. It's comparing apples to oranges.
It's just like 10 or 12 insecure neckbeards with poor personal hygiene who have spent the past 4 years of their lives fabricating and spreading misinformation about Valaverse in a bid to discredit and sabotage the toy line. They've failed miserably, because that's what they do /shrug.
This, and a small paperback retelling the origins of Batman and some of his most popular allies and enemies were my personal comic collection as a kid. Didn't have much access to other comics other than what the local library might have in stock, but these along with the 60's and 90's tv shows were what formed my impression of who/what The Batman is.
I couldn't have gotten a worse draw order for the lanes. The innermost/outermost lanes are extremely challenging. I wasn't wearing a headset during this race, but nonetheless, in the final seconds of this upload, if you listen VERY carefully, you might be able to hear me shouting, "WHO TF IS JACK???"
A couple things; 1). I know the packaging says "Kenner" on it, but by the late 1990s Hasbro owned Kenner and Hasbro execs were already doing their signature backward, ignorant Hasbro things within the Kenner division (such as including a weapon with this Jawa that it cannot even hold properly). Ergo, Hasbro is completely responsible for the suck. 2). At the time of this filming, I had forgotten all about the power droid torture scene in Return of the Jedi (which one can be forgiven for because that scene was always cut out of the network TV broadcasts of the film). So that's the only way to display that figure: upside down, being tortured by the 8D8 droid and its accessory (which we'll see later on).
