Sam is signed to a label and tours makes records Ren and Sam met when Ren was still very ill and Sam was 16 trying to sing in the street acapella with no microphone or amp Ren was on his way home early but stayed to lend Sam his guitar playing, mic and amp He said he could keep the money because he was going to get attention when people could hear him sing There is a film of it on SamThompkins channel Ren talks about it on his Chapters recordings

Regarding Sam - I can’t remember if you’ve done Blind Eye yet? There’s a studio version with a music video, there’s a couple of busking versions, and a live version in a studio, but then there is also the “angry car park attendant” version which is the most popular with many people :) my personal fav version is the live version in a studio for “something tv” - I forget what it’s called, but the angry car park attendant version is a fun one. The music video is good but I think that studio recording misses something of the spontaneous ad libs they both do so well. For Sam’s own stuff - possibly start with his live performance of “Hero” he did shortly after his dad died as it’s incredibly emotional (but be ready for it…). I love “Time will fly” (the video for which includes shots from this video, but also shows Sam and Ren when they first - when Ren had been out busking and he saw a kid singing on the street with no amp and hardly getting any attention, so he stopped and offered to let the kid, Sam, borrow his amp and also Ren played guitar for him and…the rest is history). I think my fav from Sam though is “Lose it all (Live)”. But really, like Ren, whatever you pick, it won’t miss.
