@@oclvision4469 Here in India, doctor said to wait one month after the removal of suture... Is it necessary to wait or can that person start driving... at least 3 kms to nearby places ? Additional info: it was a phacoemulsification surgery done surgically not a laser surgery
I did decline the series of operations , because i knew the vision was already skewed from the first detachment and subsequent laser surgery . It is now three years later and the retina is re-attaching on its' own . I have peripheral vision in that eye , but the central vision is clouded .
It been one month, I had to be fitted for new glasses with a different prescription. Things are frogged and not clear. But I can see only close writing. I am told by the doctors this is all normal. My had this surgery & aunts uncle's had it in the 1990's. They all had crystal clear vision from a county hospital in the inter city. Now people are having problems in the 2000's why I wonder.. I was told the could make it all clear for $1,900 for a layout surgery. Does that sound right to anyone.? Are we not getting good results due to greed?

I had mine in Feb with oil then had to have that removed a month later because the pressure was (47) high so he then put the bubble in and that lasted 10 days now my vision is double. He says the muscle got injured with his injection to numb the eye so now he gave me steroids starting today for a few weeks. I hope this gets better because I am wearing a patch every day to prevent from falling, feel so disabled. Taking a shower is a nightmare...when I take off the patch if I open the eye I feel dizzy and sometimes a headaches wants to start so I have to put my glasses on quickly which has the patch attached. If the Macular hole would not have progressed as they say it would have I would have stayed like I was. At least i could see better than this and not in debt and could go back to work. Will I heal and recover my full vision? Has anyone heard of this happening? This Dr has done this for 37 years so how can this happen?
Was it very painful the next day after the procedure? How was the pain level? I'm having a vitrectomy on Monday for diabetic proliferative retinopathy. Haven't been able to get a straight answer on how bad the pain is for the next few days after surgery and or how long the pain persists?
@@HardKnocksTime It was nit painful at all, not the first day or any time after that. Just be aware of the drops they will prescribe, the one for inflammation and pain gave me insomnia and headaches and even activated my TMJ joint to tighten up every day. I had to stop using it then got another one prescribe and it happened again. Three times!

Hi all, I had ICL surgery about a year ago and documented the experience along with a few update videos ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0RJGJqt45Dc.html Unfortunately a few months later the lens in my right eye rotated and I got blurred vision and infection. I documented that as well ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-552EJmAUaSE.html The right lens was replaced and everything is back to normal again. Hope my videos help!
Hi there. Could you kindly let me know that as I've been diagnosed with glaucoma. I'll be having cataract surgery soon. After that will it be safe to have laser surgery to drain water so I don't have to use drops. Will appreciate your guidance. Thank you.
Yes😮. I do not understand the posturing. I am having the vitrectomy, and the posturing is the main thing I am really about. I have no idea how I will handle it.
Yes. My doctor and I went over all of the poses I do one by one. She told me which were okay and which were not. Basic rule is, do not allow your head be lower than your heart. That raises interocular pressure (IOP). Also, sleep on a wedge pillow so your head is above your heart all night. In general, there are no yoga positions that are beneficial for glaucoma. Just ones that are okay and ones that will do damage.
What happens when an eyes is blind as a result of glaucoma.after so many surgeries, no remedy. Should the patient stop using eye drops? Cos they are expensive?
No answer from anyone yet? In my lay opinion I would think it possible. Do a search of "vitereal hemorrhage" to read what can cause bleeding into the vitreous.
My dad had this Vitrectomy to remove fluid , its been 3 days now no pain or discomfort but he can only sees white very cloudy images - the DR said it should cleared in 7-10 days. has anyone had this experience?
@@lupitapayen1992 I am at 3.5 weeks after the gas bubble which stayed in for 10 days and now have cataract so its blurry plus double vision, can't win.
I had complete White Out after surgery. Second day things started to come into focus. Lot’s of time with a wax paper view. Four days after, things are slowly getting better. Hope to be able to drive in two days to the one week post op. I do notice my cataract eye places a brown shadowy tiny to everything, whereas my new lens has everything very White Brite. Still waiting for the pupil to get back to smaller size.
Hi, ICL is specifically designed for people with high prescriptions up to -20. The best recommendation would be to come in for a consultation and have some tests done and then discuss the journey with our consultants. If you would like to book your consultation, please call us on 0203 369 2020 or email us on info@oclvision.com.
I had to have a cataract glaucoma surgery due to pressure of 84 because the vitrectomy surgery caused this. Now I have no pupil. I can see now but not perfect.
is there some strange reason why I can only find ONE video showing how a patient will see, right after a vitrectomy surgery? A simulation. I'd LIKE for my friends & family to see what I've been through........................................................................................but, no doctors seem to think that would be a good thing to post. Very angry about this......what are you doctors HIDING??????!! I saw ONE that wasn't very good. I don't GET IT!!!
@@beableish I have cataract now right after the gas bubble disappeared plus double vision 3.5 weeks after surgery. So I think it takes longer than 4 weeks like they say to recover. Probably more like 4 months.
@@sylviagaston9453 agreed ! i guess it all depends on the individual. there are also many good eye support supplements like lutein , zeaxanthin, and astaxanthin which i recommended for my father .
@@tnkygirl1774 I see 3 of the pepper specks too 3 weeks after and they used Silicone on me. Dr. says it will go away on its own but I doubt it. They are not so small, he didn't remove all the oil on the second surgery, these are not gas tiny bubbles that will disappear. I'm seeing double vision now and I have a cataract on the eye already so I am not happy right no. I will need another surgery soon to get this cataract removed. I cannot see out of that eye now at all, its all a blur plus double vision with my glasses on. I hope your outcome is better than mine. God Bless.
