I have a 71 model 1200, apart from the wheels it looks exactly the same. It came to Australia many years ago and was put away for 25 years. It now has 50,000 miles on it. I got it in 2009 with 36,000 on it. My car was made in Belgium also for an owner in the Uk. Yours is a real time capsule. Keep her as original as you can! Drive and enjoy, the 1200’s weren’t fast but super reliable.
I am lucky to live a few miles away, and I visited this house last year, during the " Journée du Patrimoine ". Beautiful design, everywhere you walk is a new discovery of this genius man. Amazing.
They produced the original beetle until 2003 in Mexico. In this case, I meant mostly with the original design. In 68 they changed many of the body panels and interior to modernize it.
@@mathiasvdk Oh ok, I see now what you meant, for me the original design lasted much longer as they still had the metal dash until of 1977/ beginning of 1978, but exclusivly in the Sparkäfer. think from 1970 onwards all models except the Standard/Sparkäfer had the padded dash, if I am correct (of course you could still order one in 68 and 69 if you specifically wished for it). And with the 1979 I meant the German beetles, I am aware they built them longer but sadly not with that high quality.
I have the DVD of this movie, but it is no longer working for several years already. It was such a pleasure to find this movie online. Thank you so much for sharing. I have never been to Cadaqués, but it is something I must do as soon as possible. I just love the architecture of these two architects in Cadaqués. So inspiring, so beautiful. The spaces are so cozy and special. Absolutely wonderful. Thank you.
You’re very welcome, I ended up putting the dvd online to share it with my mother because it was inefficient to keep passing it around! Hope you get to visit soon, it is truly a magical place stuck in time.
Conocí muy bien el Arquitecto Bombelli en Cadaqués. Nos volvimos muy amigos y me contó su extraordinaria historia de vida y de trabajo. Me alegro que se haya realizado este vídeo. Isabella S.C. Scanderbeg comm4Peace@info.org
